12th Grade Homework for Mrs.Frelich/How Mountains Are Formed
L.S. mrgreen & Piplup 11/19/07.

What is a Mountain? A Mountain is a landform that extends above the surrounding terrain in a limited area. A mountain is usually produced by the movement of two plates in the lithosphere when their being pushed against eachother. Because the plates are peing pushed against eachother, they are then being pushed up towards the sky.
It is said that millions and millions of years ago, the mountains that we know today were actually the bottom of the sea floor! eek ! There was alot of water back then...sooooo that means that all the continents that we are standing on today were once the so called "bottom of the sea".

I hope Mrs.Frelich likeys it heart heart heart
