Enter the darkness where Shadows and Creatures of the night linger and dwell...
Part to a Dark Legend...
They say it grants a vampire power in your home when you welcome him to come inside...say this be the case...does it grant you power in his lair when he bids you welcome to come inside??? Or is it rather that he is being a gentleman and inviting you to dinner????? Vampires always have the most charming and seductive smiles of anyone else I have ever met and they are always so mannerful too...have you ever noticed? You can never really say NO to them. I may be demented, twisted but I think fangs on a boy always makes him sexier. 4laugh

That is a rather interesting take on that myth...hmm. If you ever have the opportunity to test that theory, please do post the results on here, if able. smile

Also, on the subject of vampires, what mythos do you prescribe to when you think of them? Do you romanticize them over the villainry that is prevalent in most Nocturnal tales? Or do you add a healthy dose of a dangerous intent?

I have a tendency to switch sides...depending on what story I'm reading. What books would you recommend as good reads? (From a fictional standpoint, not historical or clinical please.)

What do you think of Anne Rice's vision of Vampires?...before she re-found her niche in standardized religion...

... question Well I hope you feel better soon...though I am curious as to who you speak of that could match or supersede your intellect.

I hope the holiday season is treating you well and that you're not one of those who succumb to the "holiday blues"...which seems to be becoming more of the norm.

In nature, the villian is always the vampire and vampires are always villians, even when they are very heroic (classic tragic clash of inner turmoil. Good trying to be evil-evil trying to be good-some that just don't care showing little or no emotions or conscience either way). It's just the way they are even when the story behind the character is very sad and tragic. That is what is so attractive about them and makes them beautiful. Often they are drowning in their own saddness and tragedy. They must kill for blood so that they may live. Immortal...It was said best "You will never get sick Micheal and you will never grow old, but you MUST feed." Quote taken from an farely old, but still good movie starring Keiffer Sutherland-The Lost Boys. (Hope I spelled his name right) Which is a dramatization depicting the eternal youth and beauty of the vampire given at the expense of his/her humanity and so well defines the playful mischievious ways of the young vampires still somewhat wrought with lingering human emotions and the struggle for their very souls. It always creates sad tragedies and a friction with the living when you must kill to survive. It doesn't matter who you've killed or even if they were good or evil, justify it however you may, there is always somebody out there who loved and misses the victim and will hate you and maybe even hunt you down for their death/murder. As to the rest of your question I will need to get back to you on that...

hmm well first question i dont care to answer at the moment haha but as for the full of manners and stuff i do believe this. Mostly because it is used as a method to feed but the more it's used it becomes a habit and before ya know its a lifestyle which im glad they take over. And even though there may be vampires out there that prefer to feast off of animals but that means they do not wish to harm people and so they to adapt to the mannerful role
