Happy New Year! Is it going to be a happy year? That is my question. Last year in 2007, I lost 4 of my children and 1 grandchildren. I thought as I got a call yesterday on the last day of the year, I might be losing another child. You see, my youngest daughter was taking to the ER for emergency surgery. Everything is ok, but with everything going the way it was about me losing my children....I was scared. She had her surgery and because of not having insurance they made here go home afterwards! Can you believe that s**t? Take you in, cut you open, sew you up and then send you home!!! OMG what is the world coming to? It is about money, money, money. Damn the money, what about people's lives?
Besides her, I have 3 other daughters and 1 son that is still alive. Actually, 2 daughters and the son are my step children, but I couldn't love them any less if they were my own. I love them all very, very much and never ever want to lose any more of them. Each one is very special to me.
I am very happy that I have seen another year with my lovely wife. Last night even though I was very sick, I stayed up with her just to watch the old year go and the new year come in. I sure hope to see many more years come and go with her.
