all i feel is need,
all i have is the desire to feed.
the sun hurts my eyes,
the moon is my shade.
just to be mortal again.


sleep til dusk, then we rise,
we say out and play til sunrise.
blood is drained from the innocent,
blood is tasted like sweet wine.
just to love again.


to be in the sun again is just a dream,
when nothing really is what it seems.
this curse is unfair,
this curse was put upon us.
just to be me again.


all of us are feeding,
and everyone is bleeding.
to be alive and well,
to be fair and secure.
just to be there again.


you and me are drifting apart,
so i gave you my heart.
you kept it warm when it was cold,
you kept me safe when i was afraid.
just to see you again.


i am not a monster, i am a lover,
i know you think of me of no other.
i would give if i was with you again,
i would be normal and beautiful again.
just to be a vampire.
