I glanced out the bus window. It was freezing outside, so cold that the windows were frozen shut. Lily was sitting right next to me. She had been getting on the bus with me the last couple days. We were silent though since it was too early to talk about the normal subjects. When all of a sudden she brought leaving. She started telling me about how it's hard to move and that it's a sad thing. I didn't know what she was getting at though because she had never moved. Then suddenly she said "I'm leaving"
I sat there frozen and not because of the temperature. "Your what?" I replied back hoping she had not said what she just said. "I'm moving away..... in four days." I stared at her not believing a single word. Lily had been born here. Why now did she decide to move? "Why?" I asked so calmly it made me mad. "My mom wants me to live with her in Sharon instead of with my Grandma and Grandpa." I sat there in shock and although I wanted to cry so hard. I just sat there staring at Livy then hugged her.
