Yeah, i saw the Veggie Tales Pirate Movie a few weeks ago, and it was amazing. Yet, like the Sailor Moon R movie, and the Care Bears movies, it left me feeling terrible. My heroes George (Pa Grape), Sedgwick (Mr. Lunt), and Elliot (Larry) start out as nobody loser cabin boys ate the Pieces of Ate dinner theater. After a disaterous attempt to gain some honour, they get fired, which leads them to find the Help Seaker and their chance to be somebody, to be heroes. Braving One-Eyed Louie, Jolly Joe's, evil cheese curls, and the island of walking rocks, The Pirates finally make it to their destination, Robert the Terrible's hideout. Of course, they save the prince and princess, and basically the day and are proclaimed heroes, becoming the King's Heroes. Then, as they leave home, Robert hitchhikes into our world, and our Heroes have to save the day there as well, becoming heroes to the people they know and live with as well.
sounds great, huh? except, i, like them, am a coward. better still, (or worse) i am a selfish coward. They overcame their fears and flaws to save the day. me, ha, not going to happen. and i am aware that this is terrible. I don't want to be terrible, but... speaking of terrible, i also agreed with Robert, the bad guy. So, basically if i were dropped in the middle of the ocean in a rowboat, two hundred years before i was born, and was asked to help save the princess's brother, by the princess herself, i would say something like "ha, right. not on your life!". But, then again, this is why i am glad i don't believe in Hell, cuz i'd surely end up there if i did. worst i believe in is reincarnation. so, i'll be paying my dues in a series of painfully short, terrible lives, which i will gladly bring on.
Larry Boy, my hero, yet.... it's a good thing Bumblyburg is fairly peaceful, cuz, um.... to quote him a bit: "I am going to die!", "Good Bye Bumblyburg!", "Hey! my wings! i need those!" "i'm flying under the ground!". that's to name a few. plus.... the ending scenes of the first two eps. (not sure both LB anf the bad apple, only seen it once.) Fib dude:"Hmmm, looks like candy." LB "no, no it's spandex, it's really bitter." XD! LarryBoy, my disfunctional Hero.... I wanna be your sidekick.... except.... as much as i go towards the light.... i will always be looking over my shoulder to the dark side. ...i'm sorry LB... forgive me!!!!!
