Well, I have a habit of ranting about Valentines Day, etc. Been doing it for 3 years. This year, IT GOES PUBLIC! Anyways, shall I start? *Ahem* (Warning: Last part, I do get personal)
Valentines Day, the day you show your admiration and love for your significant other, and where new love starts, where people confess how they feel to make someones Valentines Day the best. HA! That's only in a perfect world. Valentines Day is the day where all the couples seem to gloat about it, it's kind of pathetic, yet makes singles feel like (Swear).
Let's face it, Valentines Day is useless. Why do we need a day to say "I Love You" when you should say it every day, or even during the rest of the year? You don't need a designated day...Seriously, think about it couples, does it make sense to just say it on this one day? I would hope you agree with me, and you say it other days as well.
Now, the most disgusting parts of Valentines Day...The gloating...UGH! People go around, gloating that they are in a relationship and all it does is make the singles feel bad. They do it like I said, for gloating. This is the day where their ego inflates like crazy! It's really pathetic as well...Kind of to the laughing point.
Now, you know how I said this is the day where people usually confess their feelings for another? Well, this is what annoys me. If you like someone...WHY WAIT TILL THAT DAY TO SAY IT!!?? If you have something like that to tell them, TELL THEM ANY TIME! Yes, I admit it makes it a little more romantic, but it's just against my personal belief. They have the right to know as soon as possible...If it was me who found out they decided to wait till that day to tell, I'd be a little pissed...I'd wonder why they waited so long. People, here is a little lesson...If you like someone, tell them. If you wait, you might lose your chance and screw yourself over. Just a little tip!
Now, this is what I kind of find funny...The excessive spending. People go ALL OUT on this day, it's kinda funny. What happened to being simple, and sweet? Oh, that's right, they got thrown out with all of our materialistic wants! No, not needs, they are wants. This day just brings the selfishness out in A LOT of people...It's like the day of evil or something.
Now, on Valentines day, some people don't go out and say how they feel EXACTLY, they flirt and try to give hints. This day just leads to frustration with this. If they are like me, oblivious to when someone is flirting, then it causes the other to be frustrated and lose interest so to speak. This just causes trouble, but falls under the speak your mind thing. But, obliviousness like mine to where you never know when someone is flirting, it just causes frustration.
Now, I know people are reading this, thinking, "Oh, he is saying all this cause he is single! He doesn't have anyone, haha!" Well, to that I say, no. I type it cause it's the truth, not because I'm single. Yes, I do experience a sense of jealousy knowing that I will be celebrating it alone, but oh well. I don't expect anything, and I know I wont get anything, nor will I give it. Yes, I do have my eyes on someone (Who I am currently in the midst of trying to forget about, cause it's stupid to like someone who doesn't like you), but I am NOT going to go out, and spend money for someone on the day of love, when we are not together and doesn't like me.
Well, this sums it about up, if I have more to say, I will edit it XD.
