Hey! NARWHALS ARE THE s**t;therefore, you must learn about them.
Their name Narwhals is old Norse for "Corpse Whale" which refers to their skin as an adult which is a pale blue and looks clammy (young narwhals have brown skin).
The narwhal horn is actually the top tooth and grows seven to ten feet long. It grows in a spiral motion so it looks like a unicorn, which is how the mystical beast, the unicorn, was created. Sehr interessant!
A narwhal's diet consists of fish, squid, shrimp, and other marine animals. The population of narwhals is estimated to be from 10,000 to 40,000 in count.
The narwhal usually never leaves the Arctic ice. They go into estuaries only in summer and it is never often you will see one in there.
The tooth on the narwhal is not used to hunt, but is used as a joust to fight other males, it is used to obtain food, and is possibly used to emit sonar pulses. The narwhal's maximum life span is around fifty years. Narwhals stay in pods of 4 all the way up to twenty members.

Narwhals have two teeth, the upper one being the long one. Scientists are not one hundred percent sure of what the tusk is used for, but I had listed some of the thoughts and suggestions earlier.
Narwhals are whales and so they do have to breath. They can stay under to dive for seven to twenty minutes at a time.
