Rants and Rave of Calosis
Death row, why such a waiting line?
It strikes me as a bit crazy that in the US, you can be put to death for a crime! Yet, at the same time we do not allow cruel and unusual punishment.

Well isn't putting someone to death cruel, and it does seem that it is unusual to me.

The US, is one of the few countries in the world that still have capital punishment. We have some great company, with China, Iraq, and Iran! Most modern societies have banned the death penalty long ago, but the US still holds on to it.

Does this really solve the problem? Does this really lower that amount of crime? How many people have been put to death, that were really innocent?

With so many people being set free from prison after 10, 20, 30 years, because of DNA evidence, false prosecution, and evidence tampering, it seems we should stop capital punishment for one and all, right now!
