A small girl ran down a damp alley way at the middle of the moonless night. A bright and frightening machine chasing after her. The child ran straight into a narrow passageway that had a dead end. When the girl’s back reached the dead end, her head snapped back up to look at the machine that was chasing after her.
“AHHH!” the girl shrieked. A white haired boy at the age of 15 jumped down and ripped through the machine with a giant claw connected to his shoulder. The machine exploded and smoke was left floating around. The boy pulled the small girl out of the smoke. The white haired boy landed on the roof, with the girl. There was a red head boy and purple haired boy waiting upon the roof.
“Stupid Moyashi” said the purple haired one turning his back to the white haired one.
“Good Job Allen. You saved her” said the red head with a goofy smile upon his face. Allen, the white haired one, pouted at said purple one.
“Yuu-chan, be nicer to Allen” the red haired one disciplined.
“Shut up, baka usagi,” Kanda growled. The small girl hid behind Allen, very afraid of Kanda.
“Yuu-chan, you’re scaring the poor kid” The red haired boy stated.
“Lavi it’s no use. He scares everybod—“Allen started just when a dark shadow came out of no where and grabbed the girl. The shadowed figure took off at a high speed, jumping from roof top to roof top.
“WHAT THE!” Lavi, the red haired boy, freaked out.
“The kid has the innocence” said Kanda chasing after the shadow. Allen and Lavi followed after Kanda. The shadowed figure jumped down from the roof and ran into an alleyway where it tripped at the dead end.
“Frick, frick” the shadow muttered. Allen, Kanda, and Lavi landed in front of the shadow. The girl did not scream or push away from the shadow, but instead she clung to it.
“Come on. Come here” said Lavi trying to get the small child over to where they were. The child viciously shook her head.
“Hide behind me” came a woman’s voice from underneath the hood. The girl obeyed.
“Just hand over the innocence” Kanda growled, grabbing Mugen by the hilt.
“No” the shadow growled back. Kanda rushed forward and the two were immediately locked in battle. Her sword against his. They seemed completely even in fighting. Allen made his way towards the girl and picked her up, afraid of her getting hurt.
“LADY ALYSS!” the girl suddenly Screamed. The shadow’s cloaked head turned towards the small child. Mugen got her across the cheek and she fell back to the floor. The cloak hood fell back to reveal a woman with bright red eyes and white hair.
“Alyss?” Lavi said voice trembling. She kept her head and eyes faced towards the ground. The blood from the cut of her cheek dripping to the floor was the only sound breaking the silence. Kanda put his blade away and just stared at her, waiting for an answer. Alyss just kept her face and eyes focusing on the ground.
“Uh… what’s going on?” Allen asked quite confused.
“Aren’t you supposed to be dead? I mean… I saw you die… I mean….” Lavi said so distraught. Allen looked at Lavi, shocked from him being distraught and her suppose to be dead thing.
“So I have been found out haven’t I?” said Alyss in a sighing voice. “Well follow me. We best not sit outside. Come child.” Alyss picked up the small girl and headed off through the alleyway. Lavi caught right up to Alyss and Allen and Kanda walked behind the two.
“So what happened?” Lavi asked, desperately trying to find the answer as to why she was alive.
“I’ll tell you when we get to my house” Alyss stated not even looking at Lavi. Alyss set down the small girl when they got to a cross road.
“Can you hand over the item you found?” Alyss asked in a sweet voice. The girl nodded and handed over the innocence.
“Thank you. Now hurry and run home little one” Alyss said taking the innocence. The small girl ran off down a street. Alyss walked half way down the road and turned to face them.
“Coming?” she asked. Lavi and Allen raced down there, Kanda walked after them.
Once they got into her house, she started making tea and lighting a fire. She came walking in holding a tray with 4 cups on it. Lavi was sitting on one of the couches; Kanda and Allen are sitting on the other. The cups made a small noise as she set them down on the table. Alyss sat in a comfy cushioned chair and looked upon the three exorcists.
“I’m so confused. What’s going on here?” asked Allen.
“I was in the black order since I was young, you could say I grew up there. I hung out with Kanda and Lavi. We went on a mission, I was 16 at the time, and things turned bad and my heart was torn out of my chest by an akuma,” Alyss explained. Lavi cringed at remembering the horrible event and Kanda made no emotion change from his emo bitchy self.
“And after I told them to go off and get the Innocence, a level five akuma came by and brought me back to life, making me part akuma. He died in the process. When I awoke I was lying in a bed and had a warm towel on my forehead. I was bandaged up and in a room of one of the townsfolk’s house. So I decided to stay there because first everyone at the order thought I was dead by now and second the gate keeper would thought I was an akuma and I have no proof I wasn’t,” Alyss explained the rest of the story.
“… but I would have liked to know you were still alive… it was painful…thinking you were dead,” Lavi said sadly his eyes looking start at Alyss. Allen looked at Kanda.
“Were those two dating?” Allen asked Kanda. Kanda just nodded his head, not saying a word. Alyss eyed Allen.
“You’re cursed, aren’t you?” she asked Allen. Allen looked at her suprised and nodded.
“Come over here for a second and let me see your left hand” she stated. Allen looked at his left hand, the Akuma hand, and walked over to her. She took of the glove on her left hand and touched his left hand. Her eyes went completely cloudy. Allen jumped in shock. She took her hand off of Allen’s and put the black leather glove back on her hand.
“It was scary, was it not?” she asked Allen her eyes back to the crimson color.
“What?” Allen questioned, very confused.
“Her left hand makes her able to see your past and her right hand allows her to see what your future will be in the present course,” Kanda explained monotonously.
“That’s cool!” Allen stated.
“I have said what was to be said. Now you may stay here if you like. I have 3 extra rooms upstairs. Make yourself at home,” Alyss stated getting up and heading upstairs.
“She’s an Exorcist?” Allen asked.
“Yep,” Lavi stated. The three boys headed upstairs.
Later that night Lavi headed downstairs to the kitchen to get some water and found Alyss standing by the window with a cup of tea in her hand.
“Hey Alyss” Lavi greeted and with that Alyss jumped and almost dropped her tea.
“Oh… hi Lavi,” she smiled. “I’m guessing Kanda has found his love?”
“Allen? Yeah, he is very protective of him,” Lavi laughed.
“I can tell,” Alyss laughed. “You guys headed back to the order tomorrow?”
“Yes WE are headed back to the order. That includes you.”
“Wait what?”
“ You are coming with us,”
“Why?”
“Because I’m not letting you go anymore…”
“Lavi, I can’t, they won’t let me in, I’m part Akuma.”
“I’ll make them.”
“I have no choice, do I?”
“Nope”
“Didn’t think so.”
“So you’re coming and its final” Lavi smiled and put his hands around her waist. She jumped again, but stayed in his arms.
“You have been flirting around with the wimmens haven’t you?” Alyss smirked.
“Uh… I uh….” Lavi sweated, but she broke out in laughter.
“Good. It wouldn’t be you if you weren’t flirting,” She laughed. Alyss yawned and stated “I’m gonna go to bed, see you tomorrow.”
She walked out of the kitchen and up towards her room.
“I’m glad your back, Alyss Queen of hearts,” Lavi smiled.
