Not a local channel show, which is precisely why it is only a summer obsession. That's the only part of the year I get cable/satalite.
It's an awesomely hilarious show.
Shawn is a fake psychic who uses his Sherlock-Holmes-Level powers of observation to pretend to be psychic. 
His best friend Gus, a much more reluctant and not as patient 'Watson' (if we were sticking to Sir Doyle themes, which doesn't really match up, so i'll stop it), is his partner in their Private Investigation business thoughtfully named Pysch. 
Lassite is the Head Cheif inspector for the police and despises Shawn and his "Pyschic"-ness. He like order, seriousness, and being Cheif. It's rumored he hasn't laughed in two years.
Juliet O'Hara is a new police officer and is unfortunately partnered to Lassiter. But she's sweet and can handle him well. She plays along with the Psychicness because it gets the cases done. I dont explain it well enough, but i love the show. Yay Psych!!
