I look up at the vast nothingness above me. I close my eyes and try to remember what happened. A falling sensation. A burst of pain. Red. I open my eyes to the sound of screaming. I think its my own at first but soon realize its from a bystander. I wonder why they scream? Its not like im hurting at all. I can feel people begin to stare at me and come over to get a better look.
"Look at all the blood" I hear "I cant believe shes still alive." "Eh I wouldnt count on it. She'll be dead before long."
I close my eyes to block them out but only makes their presents stronger. I try to stand up, to show the careless spectators that im fine and they can all go away and find some other person to bother, but i can only cringe in pain. I hold back my tears and endure everything that i can. The comments get worse some laugh, some cry, and some just stare. The tears break through.
Then I feel someone step forward. They bend over and caress my cheek so softly.
"Dont worry, my dear. They're all gone." i believe him. The comments have stopped. The stares are all gone.
I sigh and begin to let go of the world when I hear "No! Please dont go yet! I need you!!!"
Need me? Ha. Dont make me laugh, it hurts to much.
He picks me up carfully and cradles me closly. "I've been waiting for you. I love you Jess. I dont want to live without you." I try to open my eyes to see my savior but the tears blur him out completely.
who are you i try to say but all that comes out is a pathetic sob. And he takes me away where the pain doesnt hurt anymore.
