Is this Goodbye?
Naruto slowly gazed at head band that had a scratch from the last time that he saw Sasuke. His once bright youthful eyes seem dull and full of sadness as the edge of the tears fell down his face. "Is this, really goodbye Sasuke?" Naruto seemed to ask himself out loud. He gazed down at the street to see a lot of people walking by. None of them were Sasuke though. He couldn't help but sigh as he got up. He walked a few feet to his bed as he gazed at the single bed. Not enough room for two people. Naruto slowly shifted his gaze to the photo frame that a picture of Kakashi in the back while Naruto was in the middle. Sakura to his left smiling while doing a peace sign while winking and Sasuke with his normal scuff face looking around. Naruto had his big silly grin while doing two peace signs as Kakashi had his hands on top of Sakura and Sasuke's heads. Naruto couldn't help but let the tears finally fall as he knew that the squad 7 will never be together. Naruto slowly placed the photo flat down as he used his right hand to wipe the tears away.
"Naruto," Came a voice that sounded like Sasuke.
Naruto's eyes went wide as he heard it ring and looked around. He couldn't see anyone yet his heart was beating so fast just from hearing Sasuke's voice. Naruto slowly rubbed his eyes wondering if he could be hearing things or maybe missing something that wasn't there before.
"Sasuke?" Naruto asked as looked around stepping on some of his dirty clothes. "Sasuke! Please don't tell me I'm going mad?" He said looking through everything.
As Naruto got to the cupboards to see if he could be possible in there, there was a small thump behind him causing Naruto to slowly get up as two arms wrapped around him. A familiar scent entered his nasal passageway as tears once again formed in his eyes. The warmth of a familiar chest pounding against his back almost seemed to echo through Naruto's body.
"It really is you." Naruto said in a soft weak tone almost afraid to turn around to have the image disappear. But he couldn't himself to look down to see the blue and white arm bands that the only person he knew wore them, Sasuke.
"You really are an idiot Naruto." Came the voice of Sasuke with his familiar insults to Naruto.
Naruto couldn't help but grab Sasuke's arms and hold them close to his body. "I thought you left!" Naruto said through the tears that seemed to pour out.
"Like I said Naruto. You really are an idiot. I'm really gone. This is just your imagination playing tricks on you." Sasuke's voice said a little cold.
Naruto's eyes went wide as he tightened the grip on Sasuke's arms making sure that there was no way that he could possible leave. Yet as he tried to grip Sasuke, it seemed like Sasuke was melting away, as though Naruto was in a genjutsu.
"No! You can't leave Sasuke. I need you!" Naruto said in a begging tone as he quickly turned around to see Sasuke's body fade with the sound of Orochimaru's laughter in the background.
Soon Naruto quickly shot up from his bed covered in a cold sweat. Sasuke's head band still by his side as the moonlight lit the room slightly. The room still slightly messy as the alarm clock showed that it was 3:24. The picture of all four of squad 7 staring at him. Naruto's eyes slowly lighted up with sadness as he slowly rolled over facing the window and away from the picture. Sasuke's head band seemed to glow brightly as well as Naruto's tears. The indent seemed to make a small streak that went over Naruto's eyes as he softly muttered, "Good bye Sasuke." And softly went back to sleep as a hand rested by the head band.
