Now I wasn’t born until almost the 90’s so I get most of the slang and can relate to it, however one word, hotboxing,- which Kanda uses in chapter 10- eluded me. So I did what any kid my age would do, I Wikipedia it. The results had me ******** rolling, and thus I thought I should share them with you:
Hotboxing:
- A hotbox, a slang term for a synthetic v****a used for male masturbation. (God damn Kanda!)
- A hotbox, a slang noun used to refer to a woman who is eager for sexual intercourse (from hot, slang for "sexually aroused, horny" + box, slang for "v****a" wink
- ...And due to the REAL context of the sentence I realized that you were using it as “Hotboxing, smoking marijuana or hashish in a small enclosed area, causing it to fill with smoke in order to maximize the effect.”
But if you take Kanda’s original sentence: “I like to hotbox my room while listening to your records.” Kanda replied seriously. “I’d recognize your voice anywhere, high or not.”
And replace it with any one of the meanings above like so: “I like masturbating while listening to your records.” Kanda replied seriously. “I’d recognize your voice anywhere, cuming or not.”
And then add Alen’s original reaction: ‘Allen choked on the air, unbelieving of the older teen’s severe lack of shame. “You don’t just tell people that!” he cried, suddenly not wanting to be standing near the guitar player.’
