Liquor
Blood shot eyes,
Staring at me.
Knowing that I’m just a piece of fresh meat.
Waiting for a second chance
He walks me back to my car.
Suddenly he pulls his gun on me
His eyes are coal black
He start to pull the trigger
I stand still wondering,
Is this the end?
No it’s the beginning of life
I dodge a bullet to the head.
He yells at me
Then I hear another gun shot.
Pain to the shoulder.
I scream loudly in pain
I run tell I’m out of breath,
I hear something in the far distance
My name being called
My protector.
I run tell I don’t hear him anymore
I’m lost in the middle of Memphis
I try and find Beale Street.
Ha found it.
I’m safe from the danger.
I find my family
Safe from the evil that waits.
My life spared for one more day!
