I am attending Bob the Builder University in the pursuit of earning a teaching degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. This idea sparked sometime in high school from my interest in nutrition and well-being. I once thought that I would be a dietitian and help others have a healthier life, however my plans have changed. After my first semester at (random name)University the idea of this field was brought to my attention. With my love of children and love of nutrition, why not combine the two? So instead of being a dietitian, my new career choice is to become a teacher so that I can inform students on how to make healthier choices throughout their lives.
I chose this field mainly because of my interest in nutrition. I have a strong interest in nutrition and healthy living. I have been interested in this subject for the past five years. I attended all available classes in high school about this topic. This semester I have been exploring family life and family relations. So far I have enjoyed all my classes for this field of Family and Consumer Sciences including the classes I took in high school. I love this field and know I can do well.
I hope in my time here at (insert random name) University that I will learn the skills necessary to find a job and teach younger students how to live healthy long lives. It will not be easy, but I have the determination and will-power to make it happen. I am sure my goals to learn the material needed to teach others healthy living habits and locate a job will be accomplished.
However I first need to fund my education. Which I am having trouble accomplishing. With little hours at work I am not earning enough money to save for college. Due to my heavy work load in school, I can only manage to work weekends. Money earned at my job pays for my car insurance, and the necessities like soap, school supplies, and food. I have also used this money to pay for textbooks. To help on gas costs, I have walked to work a few times. This is a forty-five minute walk. I tried to limit the amount the money I spent over the past year to help with college costs. However I am barely keeping my head above water when it comes to expenses. Last tuition payment I made was almost six hundred dollars. That is over three months of work if I do not spend the money on anything else. My parents are not assisting me on my college money because they are also having financial issues. I worry I will run out of money and will not be able to continue my education. This coming semester I will have to pay over four thousand dollars to attend. I need some help.
