My monologue
SCENE: Sasha (or Sam) has a dream which foreshadows her family's moving. Her mom hasn't told her about it yet because she will have to leave her pet monkey, Magellan, behind.
SASHA/SAM: Good morning, Mom. Breakfast smells good, ohh, waffles and bacon, my favorite! How come you're being so nice all of a sudden? Mom, I had a bad dream. I was coming home from school, and I see this SOLD sign on our lawn, but I didn't get it because our house wasn't for sale. So I went inside and started calling for you, but you're not there. There's this other family there, deciding what wallpaper they should get, saying, oh, aren't these curtains ugly, we'll definitely need new ones. And they're dragging all their big ugly furniture in and all our furniture is gone! I'm screaming at them, stop! stop! But they can't hear me, or they just ignore me. I go into my room, but all my stuff, my bed, my CD player, my posters, my desk, its all gone and someone else's stuff is there. I go up to the attic, and I hear this crying. And there's Magellan, crying, as close to crying as a monkey can do. And I reached out to touch him, but, he just ran away! Like he doesn't know me anymore! (pause) And then I woke up.
My Song
Fat Bottomed Girls Written by Brian May
Are you gonna take me home tonight ? Ah down beside that red firelight Are you gonna let it all hang out ? Fat bottomed girls You make the rockin' world go round
Hey I was just a skinny lad Never knew no good from bad But I knew life before I left my nursery - huh Left alone with big fat Fanny She was such a naughty nanny Heap big woman you made a bad boy out of me
Tell me what you think mrgreen Almost have my mono downpact and I've known the song for awhile. pirate
