Kaijin, a lesson from Kane |

"Oh, I forgot," Kane turned to face us with his blade on his shoulder, "Kaijin don't bleed." We just stared at him as our jaws dropped, and then he looked annoyed again. "Okay, it's time for a lesson." The next thing I knew, the corpse at my sides lit up dimly and vanished. Our eyes bulged, and we refused to move. "GET YOUR BUTTS OVER HERE AND SIT DOWN!!! I don't care if you can't handle it now so get used to it." Kane was in no mood to talk now, so we jumped to where he directed and sat down silently and creeped out. "Okay," kane took a deep breath, "since I already told you about the world, I'll tell you about Kaijin. Kaijin are created as a result of this world's system of reincarnation. With each newly created Kaijin, they immediately split into two seperate bodies and souls. In other words, Kaijin are divided into purely good and purely evil entities. However, these things will kill anything in their way to make themselves stronger, so when they find their other side, they can overpower it and become whole. Furthermore, the death of one Kaijin results in the death of it's opposite side. Also, Kaijin are also the people of this world," we stared at him awkwardly, it was too much to take in now. "...Hm," Kane just stared right back at us and went on, "when Gaia's people die, they come back in another form, but those that bore a heavy resentment to good or evil became Kaijin. Creatures that seek out their opposition and try to take over a whole mind. They feel no pain, they don't bleed, or even have compassion to what they're doing. With no memory of their past life, they only care about the destruction of their other half."
The lecture calmed us down, and we finally knew why he was so annoyed by this. It was normal to him, and didn't feel like he needed to explain anything to us at all.
"Um..," Terra started, "excuse me."
"Yes Terra," Kane replied nonchalantly.
"What happens when they die, and are there more when you find one," Terra asked a little concerned.
"When they die, they are reincarnated as a person or an animal." Then Kane put his hand to his chin and thought for a second. "Yeah, there's more so we better get going." Kane looked a tad worried and said, "I can't protect all of you from a hoard of Kaijin, so let's go to the town of torrents, NOW!"
"What," said Aqua.
"I'll give you all a geography lesson when we get there," said kane from beneath his mask, as he attached his sword to his back.
"Ah man," groaned Eric, "not another one."
"How does he know they're more coming," asked Chris back to his ticked off self.
"Shh," Ruby directed herself at Chris. "You can hear them."
I listened closely. Yeah, I heard the growls from the forest behind us. "You're right," I said suddenly. "Let's go!"
"Finally! Someone with a brain," shouted Kane. "Follow me!"
So, we ran after Kane toward the seaside, and toward the town of torrents.
