These are actual posts from me helping a newcomer to the furry thread I'm often found on learn the ropes and embrace his inner self (I'm not doing a good job at explaining this... sweatdrop ... *sigh*... stare
(for the purposes of anonymity I will call the person I am helping Z, the mean furry B, and any flamers F and then the # they are. I shall remain unlabeled and in my typical post style. Also, for my sanity's sake, I will correct typo's and grammatical and mechanical errors.
Chapter One: Finding YOUR Furry-
Z I think that if I became a furry people would tease me and i wish i was not afraid. If you give me strength, I will become one in a little. Please give me strength

I'm not entirely sure you can become one,
rather you can learn to identify as one.
A furry's, a furry's, a furry's, a furry...
now weather or not you know it and identify with the furry community is the becoming....
sort of like...
becoming a citizen,
or being inducted into something (like a club),
but not like a cult....
hmm...
does that make sense?
(didn't sleep last night so I'm not sure how much sense I'm making at the moment. *chuckles softly*)

(Now I am deeply sorry, but allow the me telling this as a story to intervene for a moment and point out a few things. I personally believe that if you are going to criticize someone for their grammar you should at LEAST take the initiative to watch your own. It is true that I fixed up those posts by "Z" A LOT, but they weren't illiterate to the point where I couldn't interpret them... just close. the rest I cover between the rest of this chapter and the fourth chapter.)

Really It's just the same as everyone liking or hating other controversial issues.
you end up with the 87% who do what they see is the norm and jump on the boat to idiotic massive dependence, and rely on the rest of the world to make their choices for them...
and on the other hand the 13% who actually have the care/mind/individuality to do their research and come up with their own PERSONAL opinion about the matter or issue at hand. the 13% who usually end up doing something about the matter. The brave and intellectual 13% that end up saving the other 87%'s sorry asses, whether or not they really deserve it.
