so I went to chapters earlier ..er..now yesturday and picked up four books..shoulda gotten more!
I'm trying to re-start a manga collection since my last attempt failed, but this time it shall be a success, now knowing where the heck the graphic novel section is! BWAHA!
So the first book I got, I spent 20 minutes looking for in the wrong section, all the fancy-schmancy touch screen computers were taken so I had to go by guess..but I was close..just an isle away = u = any who, it was High Voltage Tattoo Kat Von D, I effing love her..she's a great tattooist whom I look up to greatly and want to fly down to L.A just to get one done by her no matter the cost! MISTRESS OF THE TATTOO BIZZ <3
The next three books are all Volume 1's of three different mangas, all of which I read online..'cept for Kimi ni Todoke, I read that one in Shojo Beat before they discontinued (I'm still very upset~)
{lol at my remotes being in the shot}
Kay so the first one is CardCaptor Sakura..I think everyone has heard of this one, it is still my all-time favourite today..considering I watched it on Teletoon EVERY day when I was about 7-9 years of age, seeing both movies as well..I wish it still aired. I plan on getting the whole series of this one, and buying the episodes and two movies on eBay sometime this year.
Second manga is Kimi Ni Todoke; From Me To You. I was so happy when I saw it on the spinny book shelf being THE last copy of it, I grabbed it like there was no tomorrow not even acknowledging that it also came with free stickers until I pulled it out in the car, they are adorable..I'm almost scared to use them and their cuteness~ while on the same bookshelf I also saw Kitchen Princess Vol 10..but I couldn't find Vol. 1..so skipped it this time around..I regret it D;
Lastly, I bought Shugo Chara! This is such a cute one it was a tough decision between it and Strawberry Panic..but I think the other series can wait till next time I go~
I also unexpectedly got two books in the mail from the book club my mom and I joined so I could just get a load of books then quit..usually if you don't want the two monthly features you have to ship them back but my mom said I could just go ahead and open it..and surprisingly they were the books I wanted; Wicked Prey by John Sandford and Relentless by Dean Koontz.
