Babies are either cute or not. It is not hard for me to find a child cute without prompting. If I immediately gush over the loose neck then that means the child is cute. If the bobble head is not what I consider cute I don't need to be asked. I would think it's a universal answer. So, now you have to come up with something to say without giving the parents false hopes that their ankle biter will be pagent material. I start to get sick to my stomach when approached with this inevitable situation so I always, ALWAYS, respond with,"OH MY GOD, HE/SHE LOOKS JUST LIKE YOU/DAD." That way they feel good, I feel good and the baby doesn't give a damn except trying to fit it's fist in it's mouth.
