Tis
The green and blue ball revolved slowly beneath the hull of the Negotiator's ship. I stood there, watching the would-be attack force coming. The large black and blue ones wanted me to wait, to stay behind in case I was needed later. That the Negotiator didn't want to do. After all, I was one of his prized warriors.

Soon enough, the attack began. Everything dissolved into flashes of light and darkness, gouts of blood of every color floating aimlessly in the zero gravity void. Blues, greens, reds, blacks, it all became one to me.

Then I saw him making for the Negotiator's ship, going aboard. I turned and flew after him. It was him, the same one who had tried to sabotage our plans before in the warehouse. I had wanted to take his hand off and now I would get the chance. Maybe I'd take the whole arm this time.

He entered one of the holding bays. I followed. He turned, looked at me. His eyes were wide. I almost grinned. Good, he should be afraid! But they narrowed just as quickly. No, not narrowed. Softened.

"Oglu." His guard was down. With a screech, I was on him, my arm a sharp, curved blade. He produced one of his own. I don't know how long our fight lasted. We traveled back and forth across the floor, sparks flashing off armor and steel as they met, locked, parted, met again. He was fast; I was faster. He never was able to press the attack. Finally, my blade bit into his flesh, pinning him to the wall. He stared at me, one hand grasping at the blade, one of his legs giving out under him. Skin and muscle tore. "Tislama!"

I looked down at him. His hand shook where it pressed over the wound, a poor attempt to staunch the blood flowing between his fingers. Allowing my hand to return, I made a show of licking off the blood.

My father's blood...

"Babacigim?" I rushed over and flung myself into his arms. "Baba! Baba, ben istemedim! Ben istemedim!"

"Shhh. Iyisin. Iyisin, bebegimi." He kissed my forehead, lifting me up and carrying me toward the door we'd both come through. "Let's go home now."
