History:: Her father was an elf struck with wanderlust, and had come across her mother, a nymph in a hidden pool in a forest. As a young girl, she lived with her mother, her father having moved on to new adventures, but when she was old enough to walk, it became clear to her water-rooted mother that she needed someone who could take care of her, and teach her to protect herself since she continually insisted on going off on her own. Her mother asked a giant eagle to take Syra to her father - who received her with a mixture of joy and misery, as he soon realized he was meant to take care of the girl while adventuring. Unable to settle down anywhere for long, it was inevitable that Syra grew up as they travelled.
Eventually, a grown woman, Syra and her father parted ways and she struck out on her own for her own adventures.
This would lead for a time to becoming a part of a sacred guard, the Rose Knights, dedicated to the protection of the fae queen. Unexpectedly, Syra took to this duty very well, granted she got to go on scouting missions if they were stationary too long during the queen's lifelong pilgrimage. Eventually she even saw the queen give birth to an heir, and later helped that heir take up the mantle of what it was to be the fae queen of that land...
But though her heart had been won by the fae, it yearned to see more, feel more, live more. And so with a heavy heart, after peace was restored, Syra left the Rose Knights and went off on her own again.
