So help me, today had to be the longest seven hour shift in the world. It was honestly painful, and I never complain when I get to work the Lotus. It started out well, and I made two decent sales in my first hour. And that was about it until 3:00. So I spent four hours just... sitting there. I tried reading some of my Brothers Grimm stories that I just got, but there's only so much of that I could take. I had a friend drop in and chat for a while too, but she couldn't stay. I think the most productive part of my day was writing my hymns to Rhiannon and CuChulainn. I like them, and they're definately going to add a really nice personal touch to ritual work. Plus, two years of Celtic lit has finally paid off, and I could structure the hymns loosely around Bardic praise poetry. Brownie points for me!
In other news, I have a new baby cousin! He was born yesterday; he's 9 pounds, 11 ounces and absolutely gorgeous! 4laugh His name is Jacob.
And I ordered myself a laptop! Finally! I've wanted one for ages, and the price was finally right as far as my parents were concerned. It took ten minutes of talking to my mother to convince her that this really was possible, and then I was given the go-ahead. Belated grad gift! biggrin So my new baby should be here in about two weeks.
