You know, I was recently sent a message saying that if I didn't circulate it I would be killed. That's just wrong. I have no idea who the writer was, but I do know that it's a load of crap. I can't seem to find a copy, as I have deleted my inbox, but it was more or less along these lines:
I AM 7 YEARS OLD I AM A GOST I WILL KILL U IF YOU DONT SEND THIS TO 15 PEOPLE BEFORE YOU GO TO BED THIS IS NOT A JOKE ITIS REALIF YOU DO SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU OR SAY I LOVE YOU ON THE INTERNET AT 10:22. . .
Well, it's 10:30 and nothings happened. I enjoy waiting for rubbish like this because I find it slightly amusing. Even though the writer is more than likely some poor attention craving child, who has a bad family, etc. This is the wrong way to go about something like this. A death threat is nothing to be taken lightly. No matter what it's about. I'm sad to say it, but most people in the United States and the rest of the world have been desensitized to violence. It's time to start treating these "idle threats" as serious ones. I'm tired of seeing people scared by moronic threats and people who merely want to know they started something. Correct me if I'm wrong, but ironically, the only way to solve this chain-letter problem may be to start a chain-letter of my own. That, or the moderators and administrators can up-the-ante if you will, and start investigating these sorts of things. I know people who would take this very seriously. It's time for action.
