the story:
He was sitting in his small room, in the condo that he shared with his partner. He had been shootin up, when he hear a low pitched gurgle, and a thump. He stood up and grabbed his pistol. He slowly walked into the condo’s kitchen, where his partner had been heating up some ramen. He saw a pool of blood, and his partner on the ground, a gash across the front of his neck. He heard a pit pit and saw ripples through the pool of blood. He slowly looked up and saw the deepest darkness of his life. He let out a scream and fired off two shots before it dropped on him. It engulfed him and brought him to the ground in half a second before it slithered away leaving its victim dead. It slid back up and behind the man hiding in the corner. The man’s name was Mobius Wolff.
“Ramiel, I leave these two to you. Guide them like the others.” Commanded mobiusin monotone.
“Yes, master” hissed the one named Ramiel.
“Sachiel, let us leave.” Muttered Mobius.
The press reported it as another two dead from the mysterious murderer. This was a repeat of what had happened in 16 other cities. The police had no leads and he was still at large. The public was told to stay alert and watch out for the mysterious murderer. While the police were worried about fining out who murdered the people, they did not look at the victims records. Three in Los Angeles, all had been on the run from the cops for illegally selling weapons. Four in New York, all ring leaders of the Italian mafia. Two in Chicago, hiding from the authorities for the murder of three children. One in Salem for raping and murdering a 17 year old girl. The other ones, like the last two, were affiliated with drugs in a large way, leaders, big sellers, owning the biggest drug clubs, and in other ways. If they had looked at this then they would have realized that Mobius was not a serial killer at all, but he was actually saving society. But of course, they didn’t, and the search continued.
When Mobius returned to his warehouse, his temporary sanctuary, Zeruel met him at the door.
“Massterr, you return. Have you fulfilled your duties?”
“Yes, zeruel, but I grow tired of this work, will I be able to get a break break sooner or later?” Mobius said yawning.
“Master, you know his majesty would not be pleased if his number one shadow hunter refused to work. He has already called you in for a court.”
“Really? When do we leave?” replied mobius, slightly surprised that the archangel had called him so soon.
“We must leave now. Once we go to the next plane we have a two day journey.”
Mobius quickly gathered his items, stored them in the pockets of his coat, and they began the ritual to ascend to the next plane. Mobius brought out his chalk and drew a circle aroundhimself. He sat down in it and began chanting. The spirits, Zeruel, Ramiel, and Sachiel dove into the circle. It glowed dark purple for a few seconds, before black and purple flames began rising out of it. Mobius began levatatating and suddenly the flames flew into him. The room started folding into a pinpoint in front of mobius. He stood erect and was turned into a swarm of atoms, and sucked into the next plane, where he reassembled.
“I am NEVER going to get used to that feeling…” muttered Mobius.
He was into the dark world now. Most people would think it was the dead of night here, but mobius knew that it was only the middle of the day.
“let us not dwell here zeruel, you know as well as I its not safe, even for us.”
With that they set off across the barren landscape. They camped one night, and when the dark moon set, and the light moon rose, they set off. They came to the black mountain, and the top was there final destination. Mobius and his spirits began the rigorous ascent. Around halfway up, they took a wrong path and walked into a clearing. Mobius immediately recognized that he had made an error, but his spirits had not. They entered the clearing, and instantly they heard thousands of clicking sounds.
“GOD $@#&!!” cried Mobius as the hordes of shadow spiders, each around two feet tall. Mobius turned and fled, while his spirits blasted purple flames at the spiders. While the spiders could do nothing to the spirits, just one touch, not even a bite, from the spiders would paralyze mobius, and leave him without the ability to defend himself.
“RAMIEL! COME TO ME IN YOUR BLADE FORM!!”
ramiel instantly complied, transforming to a blade blacker then ebony with Crimson flames. Mobius hefted it easily and turned to face the masses of spiders. The spirits dropped back to mobius, and continued there assault. Mobius hefted the blade easily and slash after slash struck true and cleaved spiders in half. From nowhere a final spider jumped off the mountain towards mobius. In a flash mobius’s blade was a flying streak aimed directly at the spider and mobius was rolling away as the spider blew into a thousand pieces and disintegrated. All of a sudden There was an deafning roar, and when mobius looked up the spiders leader was standing face to face with him. Mobius stared into the massive spiders grey eyes. He jumped back and did thre back springs to dodge the 20 foot tall spiders assault. He called for Sacheals weapon form as rramiel and zeruel blasted away. Sachiel turned into a deep purple colored bow with arrows blacker then voids. Mobius unleashed a barrage of arrows, with deadly accuracy into the beasts eyes. But nothing could stop the shadow’s onslaught. All of a sudden mobius felt colder then ice. He lifte his arms but didn’t move. He instantly knew what had happened. The spider had gotten him and the end was near. But suddenly he heard an ear splitting shriek and saw a cloud of smoke shoot into the sky. Zeruel said,
“ya, I noticed a boulder up there and I thought it might be useful..”
“ABOUT TIME YOU DID! Talk about cutting it close there…” whisped mobius through his locked tight jaws.
In front of mobius’s lifeless body, appeared the archangel.
“quite an impressive display there mobius, looks like you could use a hand here.”
Suddenly mobius felt the jaws of paralysis unclench from him.
“th..thank you master. You asked for me to come?”
“yes, I wanted to speak with you, but not here. First let us return to my lair.”
He snapped and they were all suddenly in his cave.
“make yourself at home mobius, this is your new headquarters.”
“wh..what did you say sir?” stuttered mobius,
“these are your new headquarters. After each mission you will return here and you are now my second in command, congratulations on your promotion.”
“thank you sir.”
“no need for such formality, but I do have a new mission for you.”
“what is it?”
“it may seem hard now, but your new quest is to defeat the demon king.”
“WHAT!?!?!?!”
“yes, you must defeat the demon king.”
“well, that’s got to be impossible.. just infiltrating his castle is hard enough!!!”
“By the way, you no longer have to worry about that human recor you have on earth. If and when you return they aren’t searching for you anymore.”
“well, that’s good.. but still, the DEMON KING????”
“yes, you are the most capable”.....I will give you the supplies you need, and this will second as your house.”
“well, I guess I can try it.”
“if you are successful then you will become my successor, because believe it or not I am thousands of years old, and my years are running thin.”
“I understand sir. I will try my hardest.”
