Yesterday, I was laying in my bed, thinking about the feeling of holding someone in a loving embrace. The warmth, the tenderness,... nearly uncomparable to most other emotions. It's my favorite way of showing my love to another person.
But then I got to thinking, is it even possible in today's society to hold someone in your arms without once thinking of sex, or how far past the hug you could get? In today's "get it as fast as you can, as much as you can" culture, is it even thinkable?
I held a girl in my embrace in her bed, just holding her because she was sad about her dad being deployed. Not ONCE did I think about taking advantage of her, because at the moment, all I could think about was "how can I help her through this?"
It's sad how uncommon that seems to be in today's culture.
