I bought some Wii points yesterday (2000) to get a couple of games from the Virtual Console, just to have some other stuff I could play on the Wii. I decided to pick up Super Star Soldier from the TurboGrafx-16 era. It cost me 600 points, and I like it quite a bit.
I also picked up Sonic The Hedgehog, although I'm not too sure why. It cost me 800 points, and I already own it for my Genesis, GBA, GC, and I have the ROM for it.
Then I got to thinking, why am I buying these when I could just download them (albeit illegally)? I had just spent $14 worth of points on two very old games that I could just download. I felt good about supporting Nintendo's service, and the games are extremely fun... but it could've been FREE.
In the end, I realized it's nowhere NEAR the same experience playing it on a TV as opposed to a computer. I think I'll only download games to try out ones I don't know, and I'll decide if they're worth the cost.
Your thoughts, guys?
