Haven't posted poetry in awhile so I figured I'd make one for you all to read. I sorta got off track there with my journal whore-ness.
I call this piece, "Someday,"
The world around us stops,
And I let out a soft sigh,
And I watch in slow motion,
As you wave goodbye,
My vision seems all cloudy,
As if this were a dream,
You're as powerful as a waterfall,
Yet as gentle as a stream,
I wish that I could hold you,
Wrap my arms around you tight,
You are like a princess,
And I, a humble knight,
I snap back to reality,
As my friends call my name,
I have once again fallen in love,
And you're the one to blame,
My friends advise me to quit now,
"A chance with her? No way!"
But I'm sure we'll be together,
I know we will, someday...
Not my personal best, but I enjoyed writing it. This isn't for anyone in particular, so don't get any ideas ladies...
