Harry Dresden!
I love to read the books and I liked the show. I really did and I was sad to see it go but I think I understand why it was cancled. Don't miss with the formula if it is the reason why people wanted a show in the first place. Murphy (god I hate her but she was o.j. in the show) is cute blonde to a degree and has a bit of a thick body. But she is smart and can handle herself. She has a black belt and a brain. T.V. show: Brown hair, a smoking body, a mother and a some what of a softy though tuff. Couldn't have a blond playing the role of the real Murphy (the book real) who has cute blonde curls. It wouldnt be convincing. Blondes on tv have to be some what sexy and a little clueless. I'm not a blonde (brown hair) but even I find this degrading. Lets talk about the roles of Bob and Harry. Seen something wrong with the tv version here??? Bob is a pervert who dosent read Dean Koontz novals. He reads hard core romance books and likes very much womens bodies. Haryy had only one girlfriend named Susan and she was a bit of a spoiled brat who didn't care what happened to Harry as long as she got her story. (Read book three and you'll see where that lead to.) O.k. So maybe she did love Harry but like Murphy. She wanted the "truth" no matter the cost to Harry himself. (read book two for Murphy) The Harry in the show was Bob when it came women. The first episode and the third.(and I belive more then one) There was no Susan. There was no Micheal nor his wife and kids. Did you see Morgan??? O.k. I like that Virsion better but they could have still kept in Morgan's personality. That would have been awesome. Anyway. I guese you know what I am trying to say here though I could have done a lot better in explaining it to you what I belive. I loved the show but if your going to make a show based on the books then don't miss with what works. And you might want to try and have the creator as one of your writers. Jim Butcher. Oh, I also listen to the books on cd when I'm cleaning house or cooking. I LOVE James Marters. Blackstone was a great Harry Dresden. Eaither of the two would have been great as Harry Dresden.
