THE BLOOD GEM- PART 5
Jonas sat down and closed his eyes. He abruptly opened them as he remembered what he had always wanted on a poster. He started to sketch the outline of of a howling wolf on a cliff. Rocks came loose from the underside of the cliff, falling into a dark lake. A crescent moon shone over clouds. Two rabbits retreated into their burrow. Emily, who liked Jonas's artwork, did not want to show it. "Does the ickle wolfie need hish pashifier?" She said in a mocking voice. Jonas wanted to hit her. Anyways, as soon as he got up, she knocked him over with a push. "And THAT shows YOU mister tough guy." Emily grinned....TO BE CONTINUED!
OK I know it was short but I'm not feeling very creative. I'll try to do a long one next post. domokun

THE BLOOD GEM- PART 5
Emily was sitting at a desk, calculating how long it would take them to get eighty-nine miles away from home if they went at a speed of fifteen miles per day. She was a math whiz and never missed the chance to do a real life problem. After she finished the speed problem, she would work on a fish and food problem. Jonas was hovering above her, waiting for her to finish. "Jonas, don't you have something better to do than act like a fly?" Jonas pretended to look offended. He said in a ridiculously squeaky voice, "Why no, except for drawing posters for my room." Then he started to make a small buzzing noise like a fly would make. Emily growled, "Fine. But only for a little while."...TO BE CONTINUED!

THE BLOOD GEM-PART 4
Emily preferred the kitchen, with all it's worn and warm smells wafting all over, but Jonas thought that the compass room was much better. Then again, Jonas thought grimly,I can only make burnt toast and sandwiches. But Emily was a great cook, so that was taken care of. Jonas had dedicated his life to reading compass's however, and knew everything about sailing the ship. Most, when his father had come to a famous ship builders house, scoffed at his idea for making the boat move. And even though Jonas and Emily detested him for everything else, they had to admit their father was strong-willed, independant and smart, even though most of the time, he was acting idiotic. Jonas walked into the bedroom, where Emily was tidying up, and personalizing the area. Jonas had been suspicious when he saw that Emily had taken two suitcases, but he thought she was just paranoid about running away. Now he realized she had taken lots of unneeded things. First of all, she had taken a huge curtain, and was hanging it between the beds. She explained that it was her way of making it a two bedroom boat, and she had also brung her posters, (One of a picture of a dog and a girl, another of a glow in the dark chef's hat.) and some of her bed covers. Jonas realized he had not brought anything to decorate his side of the room. "That's not fair! How come you get all your posters, and it gets to look like your old room? You didn't even warn me!" Emily acted offended, but Jonas knew it was all acting. But even though he knew that there was no time when they weren't monitered by their cruel father, that Emily could have told him in, it did not even his sence of injustice. She shrugged, and said, "Can't you find another way to decorate it?" Emily dismissed the problem easily. Then Jonas remembered. He had brought some paper, nine pencils and a paint set. Jonas was a wonderful drawer. He could draw his posters and art!...TO BE CONTINUED!
He he he... Sorry if it seems like I'm getting lazy with my stories, but it's just hard to find exactly what to write now that they're actually on the ship!!! And the exciting pirate pirate part is yet to come!

THE BLOOD GEM-PART 3
The ship was odd looking. Jonas's father had pretty much invented the design. The ship was pretty much a metal and wood oval with a door and portholes in it. It had a lock in it, so the only thing Jonas's father could do was beat against the hard metal of the door. The ship had a strange steering system too. To move it east or west or south, one had to make a magnetic pull in that direction. Around the ship there was a steel rim, and there was a magnet attached to it. The magnet was VERY powerful, so the boat would go a fast as it could towards it, bump the magnet off the steel rim because of the momentum, and it repeated. This made for speedy traveling, though the boat did not go very fast. The only downsides were that if you tried to sleep in it, the boat made an awful racket with the magnet pounding against the steel, and that every time you wanted to change direction, you had to crawl out of the boat, move the heavy magnet and crawl back in. But even so, there was an upside to having the boat. For one, it had the makings of a house. It had a bathroom, a kitchen and a two bedrooms. It even had a living room. But the most magnificent thing of all was the compass room. Every surface had some form of compass, except for the walls, which had beautifully decorated portholes on them. Even the floor was a huge compass. And when the sun shone through the windows, the metal on the compass's shone like the sun....TO BE CONTINUED!
OK, I know that that whole chapter was only one the description of the boat, but honestly, I don't want to be writing for a millenium! *angry mutters from audience* AHEM, my microphone must not be working right, I THOUGHT I heard someone say, I thought she said she was an author. Well, for your information, I AM and authors DON'T have to write a millenium per chapter! scream Besides, didn't you think that's good enough? I'm so sad that you can't understand that I'm HUMAN! cry OK sorry I'm acting so rude, I'm just so sad! gonk

Sorry about making you wait more, I know I stopped at the best part, but I had to write something besides the Blood Gem. Trust me, it's not like me to not want to write a story. I think a monster ate my brains. domokun I'm just having a day that's like being in the washing machine when it's on spin cycle. rofl If you want a more frequent update, that's your problem. Doesn't my avatar look cheap? Yeah, I know, I don't have a lot of money, so right now I'm kind of working on actually getting some cool clothes. Sorry bout' that. Don't I have just an annoying habit of saying sorry when I don't need to? Anyways, do you peoples have any suggestions of a outfit that looks good with my hairstyle? But don't tell me the exact outfit you saw someone else wearing. Be CREATIVE for heaven's sake! Honestly! *Mutters to self* I don't want to be accused of plagiarism when I didn't even know I was copying! Jeez... Well, I off to get some clothes that hopefully look good.

THE BLOOD GEM- PART 2
Then Jonas thought about Emily. If he was to much of a chicken, then she couldn't go either. She would go without me, but she can't steer the ship. She'd drown! That got Jonas going. He and Emily were very close, closer than two siblings are usually, because of how his father treated them. They had always stuck close together, whispering stories that gave them hope. So Jonas, still groggy from sleep, got out of bed, slipped on some tennis shoes, and walked out of the doorway with his backpack. Jonas was silent as a cat, until, still tired from the dream, he stepped on the creaking step, Jonas hurried back to his room, took off his tennis shoes and backpack, and went back down to the creaking step. He was just in time, his father was just stumbling out of his room. "What were ye doin' on the stair, and in night too!" Jonas's father said in a harsh tone. Jonas felt like a mouse, cornered by a huge cat. He racked his mind for an exscuse, then stammered out, "I j-just needed to go to the bathroom." His father looked carefully at him, then slapped him in the face. "What was tha...!" Jonas stopped himself in the middle of his sentence, knowing that his sudden burst of anger would get him into trouble. Jonas's father slapped him again, but this time Jonas did not foolishly yell out. "That firs' slap was fir goin' to da' downstairs bathroom. Why didn't you go in the bathroom in ma' room? And da second slap was for talking back. Now go use ta bathroom in ma' room!" The father growled dangerously. Jonas let his father lead him into his room, and into the bathroom. "Close the door behind you and go!" His father said. Jonas waited for a few seconds and then flushed, and washed his hands. When Jonas opened the door, his father was snoring soundly. Good. Jonas thought The first sleep is always the soundest one. He quietly slipped out of the room, but not before stealing the keys to the boat. He made a goat sound three times, imitating Lamby, the goat. That was his signal for Emily to come out. She slipped out quietly, as she usually did. Emily looked a lot like her older brother. For one thing, her hair was raven black and was shiny and beautiful. Her skin was pale, and her eyes were bright green. All in all, Emily was pretty. Together the siblings glided down the stairs like fish, and all went smoothly except, when Jonas opened the door, it creaked. Their father, was waking quickly, for the creaking of the door had a different creak from anything else in the house. Their father was soon at the top of the stairs, coming down. Jonas and Emily raced out, onto the beach where their father made his famous boats. They ran until they reached the boat, where they clumsily opened the door, clambered in, and locked the door...
