Kanya stamped her foot on the ground. "But Faenix! It's almost Christmas, and I haven't gotten anything for Kitanya yet!" The catgirl was obviously upset. Her ears were flattened against her brown hair, and her green eyes almost glowed. Her tail twitched violently from side to side, but the golden bell tied to it didn't make a sound.
The half-dragon sighed from where he was working . "We're not going shopping right now. There's a snowstorm out there. We need to wait for it to clear up a bit." He made a mark on the designs in front of him.
"Please, Oniisan! I want to go get her something so badly!!" She glomped him from behind, and his pen scratched across the paper, leaving a long black streak. He decided to ignore her this time, since he was sure he wouldn't be able to keep his temper if he reacted in any way. She growled and stomped out of the room, stopping at the door to shout, "Wait until Niyo-kun comes home! He'll make you sorry!"
He didn't even turn as the door slammed. "Yeah, yeah..." He took out another piece of paper and started tracing the old designs onto it.

Kanya went into her room and threw herself onto her bed, looking at the ceiling. "It's not fair...I know Kitanya's going to give me a present, and if I go empty-handed..." She could almost see her friend's distraught face in her mind already.
She yawned, and her eyelids started to droop. All of her energy had been used up in her tantrum, so she decided to just lay down and take a quick nap. She woke up a little bit later and blinked. She could see through the window that the snow had stopped, and she propped herself up in bed for a better view. She heard a crinkling sound, and looked down at the paper she had put her hand down on. A piece of bubblegum lay right beside it.
The paper had a drawing of a snowglobe on it, but the caption under it said 'Gum Globe'. There was a small map that showed a little cave near Kanya's house. Underneath everything, someone had written, "Just swallow the gum, and then pretend you're blowing a bubble. Have fun, and try not to pop or run out of air!" It was signed Begee.
Kanya had never met Begee the Bubblegum Faerie, but Kitanya had mentioned her before, so she knew that the faerie was trying to help her. She smiled. "I bet the globe would make a cute present for Kitanya-chan!"
She unwrapped the gum and chewed it up before swallowing it. She was curious as to how it worked, so she pretended to blow a bubble, and her tummy started poking out from between her T-shirt and sweatpants. She giggled, and quietly opened her window and climbed out. She followed the directions on the map until she came to the mouth of the cave.
As she went in deeper, it got darker and darker. "I should have brought a flashlight, or something..." she thought, but soon the walls around her started to glow pink. She came to a big room with a large door at the end, and another catgirl, dressed all in pink, stood in front of it, hands crossed beneath her large chest.
Kanya walked up to the door and tried to pass by, but every time, the other girl stepped in front of her to block her progress. "Um, excuse me, can I go through?"
The other girl scowled. "No, you may not. It's my job to keep small little girls like you from the Globe."
"But, I need to give it to someone."
"Did you hear me? There's not way that I'm letting some tiny little catgirl get their hands on it."
Kanya's ears drooped for a second, then perked back up. "But, if I just get bigger..." She pursed her lips and started blowing, as if into a bubble, and her tummy started getting bigger and bigger, until it was about the size of a beachball. "How about now?" she asked, grinning.
The girl's eyes narrowed. "As if you're the only one who can do that." She breathed in, and her chest started pushing outwards, until each of her breasts were the size of Kanya's stomach. "what do you think of that, girl?"
Kanya knew she couldn't leave without getting the globe, so she blew herself up bigger, almost three times as big. Her tummy started to become transparent, and her shirt made squeaking noises as it tried to cover as much of her belly as it could.
The other girl retaliated by once again trying to get each of her breasts to match Kanya's tummy size. Her chest started to become see-through, and her clothes started to restrict their growth. She paused for a second, then took in a deep breath and her top split almost completely down the middle, allowing herself more room. Her chest started to creak ominously as she neared her target, and she decided to stop, sure that Kanya could still never match that size. She laughed. "You have to give up now, girl. You can't get this big."
But Kanya wasn't thinking about getting any bigger. She felt a strange compulsion, seeing the other girl's huge balloon breasts, and she reached out and poked one with her fingernail.
BOOOM!! The girl exploded, and Kanya found herself covered in gum. "...oops?" She looked around for the girl, but she hadn't reformed. She shrugged and started moving deeper into the cave.
The walls started to become a little narrower, and her large tummy made it tough to fit. She walked until she reached another new chamber, and another girl waited in front of the exit. This one had batwings and wore darker clothing. She licked her lips when she saw Kanya. "Ooh...a big one. Finally, a real feast for me and my Vamp-Air bats!" She whistled, and lots of big, pink bats flew down from the ceiling and landed on Kanya's tummy. She felt a tickling sensation, and realized that her belly was getting smaller. The bats were stealing the air from her tummy! As if to prove it, the bats started getting larger and rounder as they fed.
She started blowing herself up as fast as she could, and she even started getting bigger...but as her tummy grew, so did the number of bats that could find a spot to feed. She tried popping one with a nail, but two smaller bats reformed from it. And the bigger the bats got, the curvier the Vamp-Air girl became.
"Fine then, if I can't pop you, I'll beat you at your own game." She grabbed one of the bats and kissed it, breathing in the air from it. It fell to the floor as a deflated pink balloon. One by one, she took back the air from the bats, until they were all gone and her tummy was even bigger than before. She walked up to the door and looked around for the Vamp-Air girl. She glanced downward, and there was the girl, completely deflated and looking very annoyed. Kanya stuck her tongue out at her and continued on.
The last room had no doors, but there was a long, wide tunnel straight upwards. In the actual room, the only items in the room was a girl with a small tank of air. The girl pointed the nozzle at Kanya. "Want to go up?"
Kanya rubbed her belly and felt it squeak. There was no give to it at all. "I don't think I have any room..."
"Well, to get to the Globe room, you need helium so you can float. Are you sure you can't try?"
Kanya was almost sure she couldn't get any bigger...but she really wanted that Globe for Kitanya. "Okay...I'll try." She came forward and pushed her bellybutton against the nozzle. The girl turned the handle, and Kanya's stomach started groaning...and then her chest started inflating, pulling her upwards. "Yay! It's working!" The other girl smiled and turned the handle again, stopping the flow. Kanya started floating upwards through the tunnel. "Thank you!" She called, and the girl waved back.
She floated upwards for what seemed like an hour, and finally she came to the top of the tunnel. As soon as she was within reach of a ledge, she started deflating, first her stomach and then her chest. By the time she pulled herself onto the ledge and got through the door into the last room, she was her regular size again.
The last room was huge. "Wow...it's like if a mansion only had one big room in it..." The ceiling was a huge, perfectly round dome, with the top point almost 70 feet off the ground. It was held up by 8 thick round pillars perfectly spaced around the center. In the middle of the room stood a pedestal, with the Gum Globe laying on top of it. It was shaded pink, and instead of little snowflakes, it was filled with thousands of tiny little bubbles that floated around inside. "Ooh...I just know Kitanya's gonna love this!" She picked the Globe up off the pedestal, and started examining it closely. It started to glow in her hands.
"Nyan?" She felt a strange buzzing sensation all over, and looked down to see that her chest was inflating again, but at a much faster pace. In seconds, they were almost 2 feet around, each. She turned around and ended up bumping into a pillar with them. She bounced back and lost her balance, falling over and landing on something soft and bouncy. She blinked, not remembering anything that looked bouncy being in the room, and suddenly realized that she was slowly lifting off the ground. She looked back and found that her rear was inflating, too, keeping in pace with her chest. She tried to get up, and couldn't, landing back onto her seat. It felt just like a big bouncy sitball. She giggled and started bouncing on purpose. "This is fun!!"
The inflation didn't slow down, and soon her tummy joined in the game, quickly overtaking and outgrowing both her chest and rear, which were both still growing pretty fast themselves. Soon it reached 10 feet around, a size she had never reached before. Her bellybutton came out with a POP and started inflating too, and Kanya started rubbing her humongous tummy, surprised and excited that it still had a lot of give in it. Maybe the Globe had done something to her?
Her shirt seemed content to grow with her, this time, but as her rear blew up, her sweatpants started to creak and split down the seams. Her hands and feet all inflated at once, quickly. As if taking that as a signal to surrender, her sweatpants gave one final burst, leaving her in her panties. Her bum went out another couple inches, and her tail puffed up. The pillars started to push in on her sides, and her head was more than halfway to the ceiling by now.
"Nyan, now I've got two presents for Kitanya-chan! The Globe, and the biggest balloon kitty in the world!" She giggled as she started to become transparent all over. The pillars were unable to take the pressure of her growth, and they collapsed outwards. Kanya's head was only 10 feet away from touching the ceiling. With a BOOMF sound, both her ears puffed up and inflated as well. She could now hear a loud hissing sound coming from inside her, slowly lowering in pitch...and another sound, as her entire body squeaked from the pressure.
Her head reached the ceiling, and she went on to fill in the entire room. Her tail poked out the doorway, and started inflating into the tunnel. There was one long creaking noise, then silence...
She giggled. "Kanya go boom."
Her tail inflated just a little bit longer...
BOOOOOOM!!!

Kanya jumped right out of bed and latched on with her claws at the nearest object available...which was Faenix. He cursed and pried her off. "I just nudged your shoulder a little bit...why are you so jumpy, after a long nap like that?"
She looked around. "But..." She was heart-broken when she realized that the whole adventure was just a dream. And she still had no present for Kitanya.
"Listen, Niyo's home, and the storm's calmed down some. Do you still want to go shopping?"
She nodded, though she knew she could never find a present that would've been as perfect as the Gum Globe.

She followed Niyo around the mall, looking through all the display windows. She wasn't sure what she should buy for Kitanya, and she was just looking for inspiration.
Niyo pointed to a small shop on the side. "Hey, look, Kanya-chan. They have snowglobes." Her ears perked up and she ran over to the store, leaving Niyo behind and very confused. She ran up to the display case and looked at all the neat snowglobes. They didn't just have ones with snow. There were starglobes, and leaves, and even one bizarre one with tiny bugs in it. One in particular caught her eye, though. It was perfectly clear, and it had lots of tiny clear bubbles in it. In fact, it looked almost exactly like the Gum Globe, except it wasn't pink, and it obviously wouldn't have as much power.
Niyo came over, and she showed it to him. He smiled. "I'm sure Kitanya would love that, dear." Kanya clapped her hands together, which she did when she was happy or had just made a decision, and she ran in and bought it.
All the way home, she examined it closely, watching all the tiny bubbles in it bouncing around. "Nyan..." It may not be the Gum Globe, but...
She smiled. Maybe she could get Begee to modify it a bit, once they finally met.
