Darkness shrouds my wandering mind,
The one I often hide behind,
When times get tough, when things get rough,
I hide and hope my shield will be enough,

For if I let myself to feel,
To acknowledge those things that I fear,
Then I admit defeat and shame,
And know there's only me to blame,

So here I lurk in fantasy,
For it's much simpler than reality,
Here I have friends, a purpose defined,
A reason to live, to live this time,

So please allow me this brief repreive,
For I know it cannot be,
Soon I will have to reenter reality,
But for now I live in my fantasy.
