There it stood as large as life, it was big, blue with a hue of silver. What was it. where had it come from and more to he point what did it want with me. I slammed the door shut and ran. There in the kitchen I scanned for some where to hide. Suddenly it hit me the basement, I would hide in the basement. I opened the basement door, closed it behind me and ran down the staires two at a time. I hated the basement, it was full of spiderswebs, dust and unusal items from days gone by that my mum had stored here. They all looked so scary in the semi-light. I held my breath and hoped what ever it was would go away, my mind raced. I heard the front door open and close, I heard footsteps across the hall and then across the kitchen. I could heard it searching for me, would it find me!! I heard it get closer to the basement door, then the door began to slowly open and something sniffed very loudly..........
