It's always fun to visit other people's profiles after seeing their cool avatar on the forums and all. But then if you visit a certain type of person, the profile greets you with strange square 'things.'

These 'things' are called icons. Yes, I'm sure we've all heard of them. There cool when they're on your siggy or if there's a few on the profile. It's over friggin doing it when you have hundreds. I spend and waste 30 minutes reading all of them and forget what I was doing. By the time I get back to the forum I'm out of the conversation and look rude for not replying. I don't do this on purpose, I'm easily distracted.

What really gets me, though, is the knowledge that some people will do this ON PURPOSE! They put hundreds of the stupid things to get people's attention. I have only a few on my profile and one on my siggy.
