No, this isn't a DnD post for once. I caught an airing of Paycheck on the tube last night. And...hmm. I saw the film in theatres and it's still a little too fun and a little too smart then it ultimately appears to be. The best things the film has going for it? The killer base concept (ignoring the muckety-muck,) Uma Thurman and Aaron Eckhart, both of whom have won my heart forever respectedly with Prime and Thank You For Smoking. Affleck, Woo and the details drag us all down, unfortunately. It's sad, because the movie could've been really, really good. And it's just...breezy. I mean, 20 items that will save the world in a bag that have to be used in a specific order, specific time? Dude, it's about ten steps away from actually BEING Monkey Island, and that's good enough for me. But Woo's direction leaves a lot to be desired.
Still better then Last Comic Standing.

The Epic of Thunderbuckets! Exclamation Point!
Read all about the heroic adventures of Earth's Randomest Superhero, THUNDERBUCKETS! OK, it's not very exciting. In fact, he really is kinda lame. I wouldn't blame you if you just went fishing instead. Still with me? Then read on, MacDuff.
