Well, I went back to the MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) the other day to retake the test to become a linguist (if you've chatted with me or have read previous entries then you'd know I'm a member of the Air Force). Now, being a linguist means that you're basically a translator for the military and only those who get at least a 70/99 on their ASVAB (miltary entrance test) can even be allowed to take the DLAB (linguist test). I scored an 85/99 on my ASVAB and then I took the DLAB and got a 96/170 on it (you need a 100 to pass). Yeah, I was pissed, but I knew I could retake it in 6 months. That was October. A couple days ago, I went back to MEPS and retook the damn thing and, lo-and-behold, I got a flippin' 132/170! My recruiter says it's the highest score he's ever seen! (second was a 11 cool That means I can have one of the most classified jobs in the military (not to mention best bonuses), and after I leave the Air Force it's very likely that I can join the CIA! I'm in the best mood I've been in in a long time.
(Now if I could get a girlfriend, my life would be perfect)
