Well I think I'll update this weekly now, that way I have more things to talk about. So lets co back to next week and then I'll move onto today.

I'll start off with my Tuesday, since I wrote an entry on the Monday. Let me see, I had work that day, got called in for three hours, and well this is me and I tend to always say yes to shifts. I had these two guys come through with a few trolley loads of shopping, no biggy, I've had people do that before. Now one of these guys was an okay guy, the other was a total jerk. And what started the whole down hill spiral you ask? Well they wanted to buy some cans of red Bull, I'm sure everyone knows what that is, if not it's an energy drink.

Now when someone brings up a carton of these things, since it's not on our system as a carton, we have to scan them all singly, and so I did that. Of course they say the price, a good $70(Aus) and they were like. "What?! We're not going to pay $70 for 24 cans, put them through as four packs and we'll pay $50."

Since the cans weren't in a four pack of cans, I wasn't allowed to put them through as if they were a four pack, I had to put them through as 24 cans. Now the jerk guy didn't seem to understand that, and kept on saying something like that "People have done it for us before," which I replied with. "Well I'm sorry sir, those people have done it wrong. With 24 single cans, we have to scan them as 24 cans, not 6 four packs." The okay guy got it and they said they didn't want it.

So I went through another bit of their shopping, this time it was V (Another energy drink) and there were 6 packs of four cans each, so they were okay with that. Then I got up to a pack of single bottles of V. This time before I even scanned it I told them I'd have to scan them as single bottles. (That was after I check that they were all single bottles and not four packs.) Once again the jerk said I had to scan it as 6 packs of four. Although I was highly tempted to ask him if he'd like to take over my job, I bit it back and once again explained that I could do that, and so once I explained it, I put the box to the side, knowing that they would no longer want it.

Meanwhile, the jerk's phone went off and he picked it up and said to his mate on the phone. "Oh yeah I'm just having an argument with a ******** checkout chick."
Since his back was to me, and he hadn't said it to my face, I turned to his okay mate, who understood I could do it the way they wanted, and said. "If he says that to my face, then I'm going to stop serving you," and he only nodded.

After that I just kept on serving them, the okay mate kept his mate under control, though they did still mouth off about me and laugh at the fact that I threatened not to serve them... I was highly tempted to stop serving them then and there, but somehow I knew that even though the okay guy laughed a little as he told the jerk that that he knew I was serious and that they should do anything more.

In the end, they were paying by check, and since I wasn't a supervisor I couldn't deal with it. So I took them over to someone who could since I had other customers to serve behind them.

My day did get better after that, so it was all good. And what was pretty cool, was that the lady who was behind them must have been there the whole time cause she commented about what jerk the guy was too. And she gave my supervisors a compliment about me and I got chocolate as a reward. ^^ The chocolate was an expected thing either cause I was just being me, I'm polite to everyone, sometimes my work mates find it scary how polite and respectable I am towards other people but meh, I'm me, and I was bought up this way. To treat people how I wish to be treated kind of thing.



Whoo, now that that's over, the rest of the week went pretty smoothly after that, I got called up to work again on Wednesday and Thursday, Wednesday I said no too cause I wanted to actually have a home cook meal for once, and Thursday I said yes, so I had a 40 hour week instead of 27.5 hour week I was restored on to do. All in all, a bonus for me. ^^

Now that's enough about work, I've gotten my Gwee plushie! Yes, I bought a Gwee plushie, why? Cause it's so cute!!!

Well that's all for my week, I'm going to read, I'm onto the third book of a series I love, and the third book only came out recently so I haven't read it before.
