Chapter 2-A, The Great Escape:
Both Jixian and Xion looked at Rhyokyo while they both stood up, then Xion looked at Jixian, she nodded her head as telling Jixian she was ready to leave and at the same time asking her if she was ready to go. Jixian looked at Xion, grinned and nodded as well, saying to Xion she was also ready to go.
Rhyokyo- right, but we have to be careful... the Prof. is here... -he said in a low voice-.
Xion- What?!?!? -she whispered but somehow said semi-loud-.
Rhyokyo- shhhh, the Prof. got back before I anticipated, but its no big, he's asleep, I doubt he'll wake up, unless we make loud noises... alright? -he said looking at both girls-.
Jixian- why didn't you told us then? -she asked puzzled and at the same time thinking-.
Rhyokyo- I didn't wanted to wake you up, I told the Prof. you were sleeping and if I did, he would've suspected something, don't you think? -he said looking at Jixian-.
Jixian- true... -she said looking down nodding and scratching her head-.
Xion- Oh well... Rhyokyo is right, we need to be as quiet as possible so he doesnt wakes up and discovers us. And we don't want anything like that after planning out so far and long -Xion said with a serious face and crossing her arms-.
Rhyokyo- Right, so lets go then, before he notices -he said walking up to the door-.
Xion and Jixian went after him, but Jixian couldnt help but to think over and over one thing.
Jixian- but... it's dark... and cold... -she said shivering while holding Xion's arm-.
Xion looked at her and smiled
Xion- Its alright Jixian, Rhyokyo and I will do anything and everything to protect you -she said smiling at Jixian as they both walked to the exit door.
Rhyokyo- Thats right, but remember, no yelling nor anything... We have to get passed through those guard dogs... -he said opening their exit door-.
They all walked out as simple as so. They couldnt imagine the world that awaited them as they walked outside, they were all wondered and fascinated by the pure white shining moon that reflected its light over them. They observed and contemplated the moon, a full moon it was.
Jixian- I wonder how that's called... Its so beautiful, shiny and... somewhat peaceful to look at... -Jixian said amazed by its beauty-.
Xion- Yeah... -Xion said while pulling Jixian- Come on Jixie, we have to keep moving -she said walking with Jixian-.
Rhyokyo contemplated it as well, keeping in thought if there was something he could remember this by... like a past memory perhaps, that somehow he stared at it once ago... But he couldn't quite catch the memory, and instead of getting frustrated and all in anger, he kept going, because he knew it wasn't time to argue.
While they kept walking being guided by the light of the full moon, Rhyokyo accidentally stepped on a piece of branch on the ground, which made the "Guard Dogs" bark in an uncontrollable way, which would make the Prof. wake up and that clearly was the thing that they all didn't want.
Rhyokyo- we're going to have to make a run for it! -he said shouting since not much could be heard by the "guard dogs" barks-.
They all held hands and began to run, they ran as if their lives were at stake, well, their lives were because if the Prof. caught them trying to make an escape, well... let's say they wouldn't even think of trying it again.
While from afar, Rhyokyo looked back, they were not visible to human eyes since the trees, bushes, nature covered them, he saw the Prof. heading out, looking for them, looking everywhere. Rkyokyo decided not to keep looking back anymore, so they all ran faster as they headed closer to the road that would lead them to a better life.
Prof. - Damn it! Those good for nothing kids excaped! How the hell?!?!? That damn boy must've deciphered my security... I'll get them! I swear I will!!!- he shouted at the top of his lungs while he set the "guard dogs" out to look for them as if they were some kind of hunt on the pray he just had to have-.
Chapter 2-B, Into The Town:
The three of them kept running, Xion was holding Jixian's hand, so she wouldn't slip off and fall down to slow their pace, Rhyokyo was determined, while he was the fastest one who ran, he wouldn't let them fall behind often looking at Xion so she could pick up the pace. They kept running for hours, they even saw the early dawn, as they ran they stared at the wonder of the sun, it was the first time they saw the Fiery Star they call 'Sun'. But they didn't had the time to stop and stare at its wonder. They had to go to the town and find somewhere to hide, although the Prof. wouldn't dare to go alone to town, because he feared the same thing would happen last time, they'd hunt him down to accuse him of killing a few missing children, whose missing children weren't dead, they were 'experimented' with. So, they knew they would have a chance to live in the town with no problem at all, but destiny would take them a bit farther. As they kept running they saw the entrance to the town, so they slowed down. Jixian completely stopped, letting her hand slip from Xion's grip, she was gasping heavily, taking deep breaths.
Jixian- Please... give me a break... -she said hardly breathing, looking for air- we've been running for hours... can't we take a break? -she asked as her body slowly collapsed and she feel into the ground with her hands on the soft ground covered with tiny rocks-.
Xion- Jixie I know you're tired... but... we can't stop now... not unless we go into the town and find somewhere we could stay -she said panting heavily-.
Rhyokyo looked back just to see their sisters fall behind, he was exhausted as well, so he stopped to think, then he turned around towards them, walking slowly as his legs could let him.
Rhyokyo- Come on girls... just a little bit farther... we can find shelter there... because if we stay here, there's no telling if that maniac can come here and kill us or do something worst to us.
Jixian knew everything that the Prof. had done with them, including Kris, the one Rhyokyo forgot not on purpose. Jixian knew the Prof. was all to blame, he made their lives miserable, thats why she thought of the idea if to run away or not, then she thought it was for the best and whatever the world held out there, it would be better than sticking with an old cruel man. Jixian stood up and Xion grabbed her hand, they both walked over to Rhyokyo when he suddenly stopped to catch his breath.
Jixian- I just hope someone is kind enough to lend us a home to stay or something... -she said with a sad voice but also in the looks of hope-.
They all smiled to each other and agreed that they'd hope for someone kind enough to offer them a place to stay. They walked into the town, everyone stared at him, boys stared at Xion, due to her red colored horns, black long dog ears, red devilish tail and her... big chest. which made them drool as she was pissed while she was walking. Jixian stared back at the little children that looked at her, she often smiled at them and tilted her head to side to side. All the girls stared at Rhyokyo and his male cuteness, his cute doll ears, cat ears and cute long cat tail, they all melted but he didn't even bothered, he wasn't interested in them, he was more focused finding who and what was missing in his life. They found a little bench in the middle of the town central, finally somewhere to sit and rest those tired legs and regain energy. They went and sat down, ah they rested those aching feet and rest those pumping veins. Then in a while they saw people walk by, every now and then, they all stared at them every time they walked by. Then an young woman was passing by with her child, she looked at them and wondered what could they do there sitting, so she decided to go to them and ask them. As she got closer they got a bit weary but their tiredness didn't let them do much at all and the young woman noticed their tiredness so that gave her more reason to walk to them. When she got there she smiled softly.
Young woman- Oh dear you look exhausted, for who are you waiting for? -she asked with interest looking at them-.
They looked at her, she was smiling and so full of hospitality, they didn't wanted to drag her into their problems but Jixian's innocence opened her mouth.
Jixian- we're waiting for no one, we're just hoping that someone helps us -she said then being silenced by Xion's hand, Xion covered her mouth-.
Xion scratched her head while with the other she silenced Jixian and a 'sweat drop' came down from her head.
Rhyokyo- ah, what she meant was that... -he thought for a second and scratched his head- well... she's right -he said looking at her-.
She smiled softly towards Jixian and Rhyokyo.
Young woman- Ah don't worry then, I'll gladly provide you with shelter, after all, me and my daughters are a bit lonely living a bit far in the plains -she said- Ah, and you can call me Miriam -she said with a gentle smile and with hospitality-.
