Quote: heart I'm going to the MIDNIGHT showing of HARRY POTTER!!! and the order of the pohneix tonight with Iheartkyosohma, Frodocanf!ip, and lenne156. Its gunna be awesome, I even got stuffz to celebrate smile . I picked up Bertie Botts every flavored beans, a chocolate frog (I got a Madam Hooch card), a Gryffindor book mark, and a little Hedwig beanie baby (I love plushies!). I can't waitt!
whee the movie was awesome, as expected. But, there were still many things they left out that I wanted to see. Harry was angsty and pubesent and annoying....
Things Left Out:
*Dobby isn't brought up at all, he is supposed to tell Harry about the Room of requirements. Instead, Neville finds it and shows it to Harry. *Cho and Harry don't go to Hogsmede for Valentines, infact she doesnt even get jealous of Hermione. They kiss once and thats the end of it. *Cho is the one who tells Umbridge about the DA instead of a random girl, and she didnott get purple lumps all over her face like she was supposed to. *Gildery Lockheart was no where in the movie, meanwhile in the book the gang sees him at St. Mundungos Hospital. *You do not meet Neville's parents at all, unlike in the book because they are also at St. Mundungos. *Gwap is cuter than expected, and has a crush on Hermione. Hagrid does NOT tell him to call her Hermy, and Ron meets Gwap with the gang, meanwhile in the book he has Quidditch so can't. *There is absolutely no Quiddich in the entire movie! They don't sing Weasley is our king either. *Persey has absolutely no lines, and just makes like one appearence during the movie. *Hagrid was seen only for a short bit, as well as Trewlany and Mcgonnagal. *Rita skeeter is no where in the movie, yet she interviews Harry in the book. *Luna doesnt talk about as much nonsense as expected, and Hermione doesnt bicker with her. *Hermione doesn't knit scarves for the house elves. *Sirius's mother is not seen screaming on the wall (probably a good thing) *Malfoy has like two lines, and Ron and Hermione's lines are limited. The movie really is ALL about Harry. *While in the department onf Mysteries, Neville doesnt break his ankle, and Ron doesnt go all loopy from touching something that looked like a brain. *Nearly Headless Nick is not in the movie, but is supposed to talk with Harry as he does in the book. *They have still yet to show you Peeves in the movies, so Peeves doesnt reak havic around the school like the twins asked. *Molly and Sirius dont argue *Tonks has like two lines, and she doesnt mention at all that she is a metamorphigus (sp?) *Lily has no lines, but young James does. *Mcgonnagal does not talk to Harry about his temper *Harry does not tease Dudley and call him Dudders. *Dumberlore isnt as sappy as he was in the book at the end, and Harry does not yell at him for talking about Sirius. *At the end of the movie, Moody, Tonks, and the rest of the people in the order do not go to the Dursleys and tell them to talk care of Harry. *You don't see Buckbeak in the Movie *Fred and Geroge don't apparate into Ron and Harry's bedroom and land on Ron's knees, but they DO apparate during the movie *Madam Maxine isn't seen or mentioned during the movie, meanwhile in the book Hagrid talks about her. *They don't bring up Vicktor Krum, yet Hermione talks about him in the book *Hermione doesnt consider writing a book about the average girl's mind like Ron suggests her to do in the book. *Sirius doesnt get into a fight with Harry *Fleur isn't mentioned, yet Ron talks about how she got a job at gringotts to improve "'er engwish" *Professor Grubby Plank doesn't have any lines at all, and Hagrid does not treach during the movie. *The centars do not kick Firenze out and he does not become the Divination teacher, infact is not seen at all in the movie.
I can't think of anymore, but there are probably tons more that I can list, this is just showing that I am obsessed, and have wayyyy to much time on my hands sweatdrop
I DID like the movie, but I don't think It was a great as the others. Harry was too whiny, but then again thats how he was in the book. There wasn't as much magic and it wasn't as goofy as the other movies were. Ron and Hermione were like minor characters instead of leads with Harry like they were in every other movie. Personally, my fave HP movie is still the 3rd one. BUT, never the less the movie was good and you should definately go see it.
*I'll post about the book when it come out and after I finish reading it (probably like in one night! I'm not gunna put the book down at all what so ever!)
