THE OFFICIAL "NEW KINGDOM HEARTS RELATED SERIES" RUMORS AND THEORIES THREAD (UPDATED)

While the title will not be "Kingdom Hearts III," it is the only functional title we have as of now. "The Next Kingdom Hearts Related Series" is far too complicated, so for now we will refer to the game as "Kingdom Hearts III."

If you have an idea for a speculative title (that is not "Keyblade Wars" or something idiotic like that), please post it here or pm it to myself or one of the officers hired by me.

NOTE: This is an OFFICIAL thread, approved by the Kingdom Hearts Ultimatia fangroup, located here. If you have any problems with the facts or logical analyses posted by me or an assistant please send any inquiries in the form of PM.

Rumors and theories:
The basis for all knowledge about this new game hinges on the two secret
ending videos released with Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+.

First, watch the two secret ending videos.

INFORMATION TO CONSIDER

Currently, very little is known about the state of the game to be. However, what we do know is that it is a side story (see TN interviews section). It seems that the goal of this new project is to create an entirely new series of games that is connected in certain ways to the existing games.
While Sora and Roxas may no longer be the main protagonists, it has been stressed that the story will focus more on Xehanort, King Mickey, and the Three Knights. (TN interview section)

What we also know is that sometime after the summer we will be "pleasantly surprised" by the nature of this game. This leads me to expect something completely new from Square-Enix and Disney. From what the interviews say, it seems that whatever new twists the production team throws at their fans, it will be truly unexpected (TN interview section).

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This thread is meant to stimulate speculation of the third Kingdom Hearts game. Because of this, I have composed various questions about subjects that are currently under scrutiny.

They are as follows:

DRIVING QUESTIONS

1. Who are the three Knights? (we now know their names)
2. Who are the mysterious man and his companion?
3. Where are the three Knights?
4. When do these three Knights exist?
5. What is the Keyblade War?
6. What is the Memory of Xehanort?
7. Who/What are the 'Chasers'?
8. What do the three knights have to do with the characters we've already seen?
9. What will the title of the third game be? (NEW)
10. What system(s) will the game be released on? (NEW)

I intend for this thread to give some insight into some of these questions, dissolve certain existing rumors, and produce new ideas and theories.

1. According to a recent Nomura interview, the three knights are NOT Sora, Riku, OR Kairi, and are entirely new characters. (source: http://www.kh2.co.uk/index.php?page=NI/KH2U)

---Who are the 3 armored people?
"Those 3 are completely new people who haven't shown up at all. In fact, I've already thought of their names. Back when I was making that movie, I only had their settings but now I've even drawn their faces to give myself a clearer image of them."

Nomura has also been quoted as saying that they are all very closely related to important characters we have already seen. He gives the examples of Roxas and Sora. (KHU)

The first knight that we see is a blue haired girl. It is confirmed that she is related somehow to Kairi, and that her name is Aqua, in a recent Tetsuya Nomura interview. (for other interview details, scroll down).

The second knight we see is definetly related to Roxas.
User Image
In the enigmatic soldier sequence in kh2fm+, the enigmatic soldier mentions the name Ven. Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that this person who resembles Roxas is Ven. (for other interview details, scroll down).

The next person we see clearly is the Enigmatic Soldier from the secret boss battle in kh2fm+ removing his helmet. It has recently been confirmed that the Enigmatic Soldier's name is Terra. He has the appearance (yellow eyes and same hair) as Xehanort. However, he also bears a resemblance to Riku (full theory below). In an interview with Tetsuya Nomura, the evidence points to a character related to Riku. (for other interview details, scroll down).

If Sora/Roxas is related to Ven, and Kairi/Namine is related to Aqua, and Riku is related to Terra, then there is a piece of the puzzle missing. Let's look to Sora's nobody, Roxas.
Specific TN interview details:
-The name of the knight that looks like Roxas is named Ven. His name is in relation to the sky, similar to Sora. Nomura also hinted at his possible connections with Roxas, and in turn, Sora.
-The female knight is indeed named Aqua. Her name is in relation to water, similar to Kairi.
-The name of the third knight has been confirmed to be Terra. His name is related to land, as is Riku's.

(kh insider)

These characters do resemble characters we've seen before, and, according to Nomura, are closely related to them.
One theory is that the connection they share with these characters is similar to that of the "person-heartless-nobody" relationship.

For more on the theories surrounding how these knights are related to Sora, Riku, and Kairi, see the Waltz theory on #8.

2. The shadowy figure is mysterious. He and his companion do give away a few things in how they dress, however, and the fact that they can both wield keyblades.
If you'll notice, the shadowy figure's outfit exactly matches that of Ansem's heartless from the first game.
User Image
As for his companion, who appears out of a double or clone, he also reveals something in the way he dresses. If you notice, his suit is threaded very similar to Riku's darkness suit in the first kh.
User Image

Because of this evidence, it is certainly likely that these two people are very closely related to Riku and Ansem.

3. As for where this scene takes place, very little is known. All we see is a battle-scarred desert, (which later becomes warped and deformed with spires of earth torn upwards), strewn gigantic nobody corpses and thousands of Keyblades. One theory is that it is some other dimension, which is supported by the area's appearance in KH2FM+ in the Disney Castle world. It is a similar portal design as we have seen in other instances, but mostly it bears striking similarity to the portal to the Timeless River world (no, not in appearance, but in effect).

The portal takes the party to another time and place, with an entirely different atmosphere than Disney castle.

Could this world be another vision of one of the past forms of the Disney kingdom.

One present theory is that that place (with the crossroads in the field of keyblades) is closely related to the crossroads we see in Chain of Memories, where the four roads lead to darkness, light, dawn, and twilight. It could even be the same place at a different time!

4. There are a few different theories as to when this scene takes place. One theory is that KH3 is not a sequel, but a prequel, and that perhaps the three Knights are in the distant past looking in on the future. It is impossible to draw a definite conclusion from either clip.

5. As for the Keyblade war, virtually nothing is known. Every theory is a half-hatched guess. Really, no one has any clue.

6. The "Memory of Xehanort" is a big clue in this video. It hints of a possibility that Xehanort has another form existing somewhere. This coincides with the "other form" possibility.

7. Very little is known about the meaning of the term, "Chaser." However, the dictionary defines it as:
"1. One who chases or pursues another;"
"2. A drink, as of beer or water, taken after hard liquor;"
"3. One who decorates metal by engraving or embossing;"
"4. A steel tool for cutting or finishing screw threads."

The definition that most suits our needs here is # 3.
One popular theory states that the "Chasers" could be the ones who originally forged the keyblades themselves. However, it may be more likely that "chasers" have somehow altered the keyblades, by engraving or embossing, as the definition would suggest.
(Credit goes to Teh_Rado for finding this.)
ref:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Chasers

8. I have a theory on this, but it's farfetched and requires some explanation.

Firstly, I'd like to stress the importance of The Number 3 in the game.
Nomura stated that the game series could be considered a "waltz," which is music whose time signature is 3-4 (three beat).

As of yet, there have been two main games, along with two main evil parties (Maleficent’s group and organization XIII). In any story, two of anything is an awkward number. We can thus assume that there is another evil party somewhere (and also another game).

Going off of this theory, we could also assume that there is a three working parts of the heart (when a person is killed by a heartless, they darkness from the heart manifests into a heartless and a the empty shell becomes a nobody). As we know from kh2, heartless lack consciousness (which the nobodies have), and nobodies lack their previous memory or emotion.

It is my theory that another thing is produced whenever this occurs. It could be the key to the "Memory of Xehanort," issue.

Not only that, but it could reveal how each of these soldiers are related to the three main characters, and could also reveal how each of them can wield keyblades.

Here is one theory:
The three knights, because they appear older than Sora, Riku, and Kairi, and because the timeline that we know about the secret ending video states that they are much older, then how is it that they are some other form of Sora, Riku, and Kairi?

It is much more likely that these three knights are the original forms of the three. So here it is:

Ven->Sora->Roxas
Aqua->Kairi->Namine
Terra->Riku->?
(Note that because Riku never, to our knowledge, lost his heart, he does not have a heartless or a nobody. Future events may prove otherwise, however, if and when the story progresses forward.

When you look at it objectively, it logically fits the Waltz theory and makes sense in the storyline (at least from what we know or don't know).

The only thing that I can think of that would contradict this is Sora's mother in KH. Being born naturally rather than spawned out of a chasm of darkness would eliminate the possibility of anything similar to a person/nobody relationship.

But it's just a theory.

9. There have been many theories on what the title will be. Several possibilities have come up:

Kingdom Hearts III (based on the pattern already put in place by the previous games)
Kingdom Hearts X (which was a rumored title that has been spread around for the past few months)
Kingdom Hearts III: The Keyblade Wars (based on this image:
User Image)

Unfortunately, these are all FALSE.
According to a recent TN interview, "Kingdom Hearts" will NOT be in the title, so all three of these can not be the titles.
Furthermore, the image with the supposed picture of the new game cover is an obvious fake.

If you have heard any rumors, theories, or conjecture about the possible title of the game, please post it here or pm me.

10. Tetsuya Nomura has given us ample data on which platforms he plans to release the game. In various interviews, he tells us that he is considering the Playstation 3, the Wii, and various handheld systems such as the Nintendo DS, PSP, and/or Mobile Phone. Tetsuya Nomura has not stated anything regarding the Xbox 360, however, many people still believe that it is a possibility. The following post from Kingdom Hearts Insider cited and rebutted a Gamingtarget article whose author believed as much.

"
The gist of it is, GamingTarget was listing the Top 21 Surprises of E3 2007. They do specifically state that everything is a rumor and all in good fun, but seriously it seems they completely made up the Kingdom Hearts bit. Check it out:

#20 Kingdom Hearts X refers to an Xbox 360 version
Square-Enix doesn't do cagey. They let you know what they're up to and when they'd like it to happen. Then whatever they said is negated a few months later when whatever it is they're working on gets inevitably delayed. But they don't seem to want to discuss anything relating to the project company executives are referring to as "Kingdom Hearts X." Why? Because I believe the X stands for Xbox 360.

This belief jibes with two recent statements from the company about their future projects. First, an executive was quoted as saying "The Xbox 360 slate is empty as far as it comes to Final Fantasy." Meanwhile, the company's CEO, Yoichi Wada, stated that the company will focus on multiplatform gaming because that's what the market demands. Before this, Square-Enix has basically ignored the 360 (a port of Final Fantasy XI and the unproven Last Remnant don't count) and if the PS3 and Wii have Final Fantasy games locked up, what's left for the 360? Kingdom Hearts X, that's what. The 360 gives the company the install a game like Kingdom Hearts needs and the graphical abilities that developer Tetsuya Nomura wants.

Alright, it is time to break it down. Everything above is completely false.

A) We have proved time and time again that Kingdom Hearts X is a rumor, the last time I even remember seeing it was months ago.
B) We already know the next Kingdom Hearts game is not being announced at E3, but at Tokyo Game Show 2007.
C) These quotes are actually very recent, but it truly seems like the article writer tried to find random excuses to justify Kingdom Hearts on the Xbox 360. The last I heard it was between the handhelds, the Wii, and the PS3. Square Enix is a Japanese company and really, the 360 does not seem like the premier console for a Disney and Final Fantasy type game.
"

However, we cannot assume that it will be a single-platform release. Numerous TN interviews have stated that the development team is pushing toward a multi-platform release.
We are therefore narrowed down to these platforms:

Playstation 3
Wii
Nintendo DS
PSP
Mobile Phone

Once there are a significant amount of posts in the current poll, I will post a new poll asking what platforms are the most likely to be developed upon by Square-Enix.

Nomura has not commented much on the development of the next Kingdom Hearts related game. Currently, the production team is not working on the game, for they are busy in production with the enormous "Fabula Nova Crystallis" project. Hopefully, more information will be available to us when production begins. Right now, however, the usual steady stream of information fueling our speculation is at a standstill. Be patient!

CONFIRMED

At the recent Square Enix Party 2007 it was announced that a new Kingdom Hearts title will be revealed during the Tokyo Game Show 2007 later this year.

This announcement came in the form of a video teaser. The movie started off with a scene of erupting smoke that transformed into the well-known heart logo that resembles the series, shortly afterwards Sora appeared on-screen with "two of his companions" walking along while text over-laid them stating that a "New project will be announced during the Tokyo Game Show 2007".
Other text was as follows:

“Their wounds cannot be healed.”
(or “I have to go heal their wounds.”)
“If you get lost in the darkness, join your hands together like before.”
“I am counting the days since my birth.”
“Has the number of days been recorded?”
“I don’t want to forget what has happened since my birth.”
“With whose heart does a new story lie?”
(or “With whose heart does the next story lie?”)

These lines come up with a Sora, Terra, and Roxas collage in the background.
Then a short movie is shown using scenes from the secret movie (“Birth By Sleep”) with a rearranged version of “The Other Promise” playing in the background. During this (presumably), a word comes up:

“Dis-Soul”

Revealing TN Intervies

A recent interview with Tetsuya Nomura has unearthed this information:

+Nomura has stated in the past that the “New Project” MAY be a “Non-game project” and that it WILL NOT have “Kingdom Hearts” in the title.

+Nomura has now stated that this project may be an interesting side-story focusing on characters other than Sora, although Sora still has a big role.

+He should be explaining “Birth By Sleep” a bit more, what Mickey did in the World of Darkness, and how Mickey got his Keyblade.

+He’ll want to work on developing Roxas the most. He thinks it’s interesting that his birth disappearance has been drawn within a year.

+He wants to make this “New Project” slightly different from the Kingdom Hearts series including slight changes in the system.

+The armoured figures in the “Birth By Sleep” video are connected to Xemnas/Xehanort. There may be elaboration on this.

+Nomura has previously confirmed that after the Final Fantasy XIII games, he will be concentrating on the story of Kingdom Hearts.

+Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ was confirmed to be Nomura’s final PlayStation 2 game, and therefore any future Kingdom Hearts games will only be on PlayStation 3 or possibly other gaming systems.

+The “New Project” should be announced soon, although Nomura wants to keep the title a secret for awhile and tell us at just the right time.

+Multi-developing makes Nomura want to put the “New Project” on another system. If he does, he wants to decide whether to make it for PSP, Nintendo DS or mobile phones.

+Square-Enix is currently working on three projects in total. One of them is confirmed to be Final Fantasy Versus XIII, but it’s unknown what the other two are. They’re unrelated to each other though.

Kingdom Hearts II Ultimania Book (2006)

After the ending, there’s a secret movie this time, too. What exactly is the movie trying to tell?

Nomura: I actually have a solid idea on what the movie’s setting will be in my head. In the previous game’s secret movie, I wasn’t even sure if I would be making a sequel or not, so some parts of it were quite vague. But this time I already have an idea my head where I think “This is it.”

Did that scene happen in the future or in the past?

Nomura: I would at least say it’s an episode in the past, but…. Hmm, how should I say this? It’s in the past but you can also think it’s in the future, something like that.

Who are the 3 armoured people?

Nomura: Those 3 are completely new people who haven’t shown up at all. In fact, I’ve already thought of their names. Back when I was making that movie, I only had their settings but now I’ve even drawn their faces to give myself a clearer image of them.

The King, Sora and Riku’s keyblades were there, too…

Nomura: It’s to show that those three armoured people aren’t them but that doesn’t mean they don’t have connections. The words “Keyblade War” that showed up in the middle were to implicate that there were fights between Keyblades. Most of the puzzles in the first Kingdom Hearts have been solved in Kingdom Hearts II but there are many things about the Keyblade that haven’t been revealed yet. A line from the previous game’s Ansem Report #8 appeared in the movie but that is to say “It means this but it’s not explained yet.”

Does that mean you already have a plot for KHIII?

Nomura: Hmm… I have an idea but it can’t be helped because my team is planning to work on our next different title. So we’re not working on KHIII now and we’re not planning to work on it for some time. I have a plot in my head but I’m not sure if it’ll be released to the world or just stay in there.

Scenario Mysteries

When was Organization XIII founded?

Nomura: The timing is when Philosopher Ansem’s 6 disciples turned into Heartless. Organization XIII is only called like that because it has recruited 13 members, but it doesn’t matter if it has “XIII” in its name or not. All 13 members were already gathered in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories but the members that were in Castle Oblivion still called it “The Organization.”

Besides Xehanort, did the other 5 disciples that turned into Heartless disappear?

Nomura: Not really disappear but more like they’re somewhere else as normal Heartless. Xehanort was about the only one who was able to keep a human form.

We found out that Riku’s Keyblade’s name is “Way to the Dawn” when examining his item slots after he joined your party. Is that Keyblade a transfigured version of Soul Eater?

Nomura: I designed it with that image. Since Riku has always been using Soul Eater, he still calls it that even after it changed form. Keyblades aren’t something that you can obtain suddenly out of nowhere, so in Riku’s case, his Soul Eater was used as an intermediary for that Keyblade.

If we directly translate “Way to the Dawn”, “dawn” means “in-between night and daytime”, so does that mean that Keyblade is from the In-between World? In other words, this means that the Keyblades that Sora, King Mickey and Riku wield represent the Worlds of Light, Dark and In-between?

Nomura: Well, if I have to say where they belong, it’s just as you said. But the name of “Way to the Dawn” doesn’t have to mean that. This name came from the scene at the end of Riku’s story in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories that suggested which path he would walk on, where he said “The road to dawn.”

In Secret Ansem Report #13, DiZ had the unanswered question, “How did Xehanort open the door in Hollow Bastion’s underground?” but….

Nomura: I can’t talk about this yet. But, weeell, it’s something you can speculate over, I think.

Speaking of “opening the door”, I’m going to move the subject to the previous game. When Riku opened the Destiny Islands door, why did this accidentally call the Darkness? Are the powers of Keyblade wielders that are called “Heroes of Light” connected to Darkness?

Nomura: Currently Sora and the others are the only Keyblade wielders and they’re doing things that grant them the titles “Heroes of Light”. But, as stated in the first game’s Ansem Report #8 and the secret movie this time, the real Keyblade wielders “can bring chaos to the world, just as one can bring peace to it.”

In the World that Never Was, Xigbar said to Sora “Compared to the ones before this, you’re weaker”. Does that mean he’s comparing Sora to previous Keyblade wielders before him?

Nomura: Yes, he was. I was hinting “Xigbar has met other Keyblade wielders before.” As for something more than that… I’ll leave it to your imagination.

Famitsu (2006)

Anyway, let’s start with the news of this “new project” which appeared at the end of the latest trailer. Boy, were we surprised!

Nomura: Thanks to everyone Kingdom Hearts has gained phenomenal popularity worldwide. That is why next year the series will be taking a new step… although for the moment I can’t be any more concrete.

If only you could do something about that (laugh). Is it something Disney specializes in? Or is a game?

Nomura: It’s complicated. It is one thing but “project” doesn’t quite encompass it. Right now we’re in the midst of talks with Disney’s side and while there is something they have contributed there is also something we [Square-Enix] have contributed. At the moment we’re talking about how to realize it. Please be patient until we can be more precise.

Will there be a hint in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix’s secret movie?

Nomura: Well… there will be… a little. But also something else…

Something else?!

Square-Enix’s PR Department: It’s probably something you have never would have imagined. (laugh)

Nomura: So a lot’s going on but please look forward to it.

Kingdom Hearts Extreme (2007)

Square-Enix Marketing Manager: Well Kingdom Hearts III is going to be released on PS3 and we will see what we can do with that.

What about a Kingdom Hearts movie? Advent Children was sick!

Square-Enix Marketing Manager: Well you never know - We are good at CGI aren’t we? *grins*

Will we see another Kingdom Hearts game on a Nintendo platform?

Square-Enix Marketing Manager: Well like I said, there will be big Kingdom Hearts related announcements made this year. Please look forward to it.

Will Kingdom Hearts III be a new trilogy with new characters?

Square-Enix Marketing Manager: Can’t answer.

Gemaga Magazine Interview Summary (2007)

The secret movie is connected to what is coming in the future! Nomura says it would be a shame if you miss out on it.

A scheduled announcement of the next Kingdom Hearts Project will definitely take place after the summer! (Now known to be at the Tokyo Game Show 2007)

Nomura states that it is too much work to work on both at the same time. So they are concentrating on completing Final Fantasy Versus XIII first to acquire the necessary elements that they can incorporate into Kingdom Hearts III. This could include characters, locations, gameplay features, or something else.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the last Final Fantasy Nomura will direct, as he wants to concentrate on Kingdom Hearts series instead. So there may be a very big future for Kingdom Hearts.

Gemaga and Dengeki PS Magazines (2007)

Gemaga: Are the characters that appear in the new CG “secret movie” added to Final Mix from the new title?

Nomura: They are people who have some relation to the new series. However, the next title won’t just be Kingdom Hearts III. If it were III, we wouldn’t call it a new series.

Gemaga: Will Sora and Riku make an appearance in the new game?

Nomura: *Laughs* I can’t say. It may have something to do with Xehanort though.

Dengeki PS: What can you tell us about the new title?

Nomura: First, it’s not Kingdom Hearts III. Of course, because we’re calling it a ‘new’ series, it won’t be Kingdom Hearts III. Also, it’s a series, so it probably won’t be just one title.

Kingdom Hearts Another Report (2007)

Concerning the keyphrase “Keyblade War”, could you be a little more specific about that? Could it be connected to the “Fairytale of Children and Light” that Kairi’s Grandmother told? (In Kingdom Hearts, Sora experienced Kairi’s memories. It was a scene when Kairi’s Grandmother told her an old story when she was still young about when worlds were swallowed by Darkness. Children used the power of fragments of Light to rebuild worlds.)

Nomura: To tell the story about the Keyblade War we need the capacity of hi-spec hardware and we need to accumulate all of our knowledge on this hardware. And in telling this story, we will need to tell it in separate episodes, and how specifically to tell it has yet to be figured out.

Nomura: As for the fairytale that Kairi heard, for everyone to feel like such and old fairytale is real, I think we need a little more time. That is to say, to talk specifically about either this soon might perhaps be irrelevant.

Of the people that appear in the new secret movie, “Birth By Sleep”, that was added to Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, several names and figures are recognizable and must be extremely meaningful. Giving specifics is likely impossible, but could you give us a hint? Furthermore, do the 3 armoured figures that appear there and the similar looking armoured figure in the Last Battle have some relation to Xemnas?

Nomura: For the recognizable figures and the recognizable faces, reaching the secret this time is extremely difficult, but I think the video is fairly spectacular and will stir your imaginations. The armoured figures have a connection to Xemnas but after all I can’t give any specifics at the present stage. But, the video this time has a foreboding opening and please think of the figures ahead as having reason and a hinting connection.

Lastly, has Sora’s journey come to an end this time? Before you told us “I have the end of Kingdom Hearts in my head”, but does this mean that Sora won’t be there? There seem to be new developments with the Kingdom Hearts Series, so can you please tell us within the present limits any hints?

Nomura: Without recalling too much about the mysteries and problems of the outline remaining for Kingdom Hearts series thus far, I don’t think that Sora’s journey is over. If you get to see the ending of Kingdom Hearts II I think you will be able to sense some new premonitions. Regarding what I said about the “end” of Kingdom Hearts, of course I won’t be able to say anything about that yet, but if the numbering of Kingdom Hearts were to go to “III”, I doubt that Sora would have no relation to it. Even if I wrap up Kingdom Hearts, I don’t think that Sora will be irrelevant.

Nomura: Also, there are many new developments. I think that the news will be able to satisfy the widely supportive Kingdom Hearts fans everywhere. As there is still more to say about this “new” thing, please dare to think with a different flow, rather than just going with what’s mainstream. I will give you a hint about the contents of one of the numerous developments. In the freshly added secret movie a phrase comes out, “Fate doesn’t happen by accident, there is necessity”. (In the translated version of the secret ending, this is the line “The fate of all occurs not by chance…”)

Dengeki PS Magazine (2007) Interview Summary

* Nomura has now stated that this project may be an interesting side-story focusing on characters other than Sora, although Sora still has a big role.
* He should be explaining “Birth By Sleep” a bit more, what Mickey did in the World of Darkness, and how Mickey got his Keyblade.
* He’ll want to work on developing Roxas the most. He thinks it’s interesting that his birth and disappearance have both been drawn within a year.
* He wants to make this “New Project” slightly different from the Kingdom Hearts series including slight changes in the system.
* The armoured figures in the “Birth By Sleep” video are connected to Xemnas/Xehanort. There may be elaboration on this.
* Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ was confirmed to be Nomura’s final PlayStation 2 game, and therefore any future Kingdom Hearts games will only be on PlayStation 3 or possibly other gaming systems.
* The “New Project” should be announced soon, although Nomura wants to keep the title a secret for awhile and tell us at just the right time.
* Multi-developing makes Nomura want to put the “New Project” on another system. If he does, he wants to decide whether to make it for PSP, Nintendo DS or mobile phones.

Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ Ultimania (2007)

Scenario Mysteries

We’d like to inquire about the new secret movie “Birth By Sleep”. In the new event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, Xigbar mentions a “group that wields Keyblades”. Is he talking about the 3 armoured people in the movie?

Nomura: Yes, Xigbar witnessed them when he was a disciple to Ansem the Wise.
