HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS.

The release party at the Pratt Street Barnes and Noble in Baltimore was amazing.

Seriously, amazing. I cosplayed as Nymphadora Tonks for it, as well as for Otakon.

While at Otakon earlier that day, I was leaving the autographs area when I heard some voices calling, "Tonks!" I halted and stepped back a bit, seeing two girls, a few years older than me, waving their hands. I waved back and walked over to them. We talked, (they called me cute! xD) and they told me that they were going to the release party as Sirius and Remus.

Well, I just about died inside. Remus, Sirius, and Tonks would be my favorite characters, so finding two people with similar interests was especially awesome. I told them I'd definately try to find them later that evening at the release party.

SO. Otakon went on, and after having dinner with Tsuki and her dad, Tomy, my mom and I walked the relatively short distance to Barnes and Noble.

Being from out-of-Baltimore, I had never been to this particular Barnes and Noble. I gaped at its hugeness for a moment or two, then proceeded to invesitgate the place. We got our Wizarding Passports (I was sorted into Gryffindor) and looked at some owls (Barn Owls... are kind of scary-looking) and then went to the upper level, where Tomy took a seat at the only available table. I sat on the floor, since there was only one chair there.

At some point, we ended up with two more chairs, and my mom and I joined Tomy at the table. After a bit, my mom went outside, and I was left with Tomy. (Eventually she came back, though, and went inside and outside during the event)

From the table next to ours, a pink-haired female cosplayer whose companions were a man who would later ask me to guard their table, a girl in a Slytherin outfit whom I would see at the Owl-area later, and another girl who drew with much skill, asked me what I thought of the 'Remus thing.' (Or something to that effect, I don't quite remember exactly what she said.) I hadn't a clue what she meant, as there are lots of things about Remus. I stared blankly, still shocked that she was even talking to me. I told her that I didn't know what she meant, and she explained that she wanted to know my opinion, as a Tonks, about the whole 'Remus and Tonks' thing near the end of HBP. We talked about it a bit, then went back to what we were doing beforehand.

Tomy asked what we were talking about, and I tried to explain, having to talk about Fenrir Greyback and Lupin's becoming a werewolf, etc.
WELL, IT WAS INTERESTING.
I ended up running off to find a copy of HBP, and reading aloud the parts that would help me explain to Tomy.
It was absolutely hilarious. Greyback kept being referred to as "Wereback" by Tomy, which, for some reason, I think to be the funniest thing. Ever.
I read an excerpt from the book and then paused, lowering the book. "Er - what was I talking about?" I said. "Nice, Tonks." (or something like that) the pink-haired cosplayer said. She was smiling in my direction. I laughed and went on explaining to Tomy. (I similar moment happened later, when I exclaimed a little too loudly that I could make an idiot of myself anywhere. The pink-haired cosplayer and I spoke again then.)

While Tomy and I were sitting there, a heard, from somewhere to my right, "Tonks!" I turned and it was the pair of girls from earlier at Otakon, dressed as Sirius and Remus! I smiled and waved. I was hoping I'd see them there. They sat at the table to my right, and through the rest of the night we smiled at each other periodically, but didn't talk that much.

Since I could not sit still, I made a habit out of wandering around a bit, stopping every so often because someone wanted a picture. (I wonderful Fleur and Bill got a picture with me, but unfortunately, I don't have a copy of it. I also got an amazing picture with a few other Tonks cosplayers, and some VERY awesome pictures with my 'mum', Andromeda. [She was with Bellatrix and Narcisssa. The latter told me that if I saw a Draco, to tell him that "his mother was looking for him." Unfortunately, I did not find a Draco.])

I stopped to see the owls a few more times, and got a picture with a carboard Harry. I bought some Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, which we fed to my mom, her of course having to guess their flavors.

Tomy and I went outside once, and some random guy on the street sold me a pair of light-up Harry Potter glasses. (I couldn't resist them! Who doesn't love buying useless items on an impluse!!) When we got back inside, I put on my green light up glasses, Tomy's blue light-up glasses, and a pair of the glow-in-the-dark glasses, and took a picture of it. The pink-haired cosplayer said I should go to the costume contest with the glasses on.

Ah, yes. The costume contest.

Since a lot of people had recognized me as Tonks, and Tsuki and my mom and Tomy said my costume seemed good enough to enter, when they called for those 16 years of age and younger to go to the music section to be judged, I (very nervously) made my way over there.

When I got there, I asked the closest person if I was in the right place. I was.
The girl turned out to be a James cosplayer, who introduced herself as Candace (I think that was her name. Apologies to her if she ever happens to read this.) She was also there for Otakon, and it turned out we both loved Marauder-Era Harry Potter the most, loved Fullmetal Alchemist, and were very close in age. (She was a year older)
She drew her own Marauder's Map and everything. It was very impressive, and I was happy when she won the contest, with some other people. (I didn't win. One of the judges even asked who I was supposed to be, and then when I answered, they didn't even know the character. I then began to doubt that judge had even read the Harry Potter books. xD; Or at least wasn't that far in them. But it was all good! Because I had fun, and wasn't expecting to win, anyway.)

Though when exactly this happened, I'm not sure, we ended up going down to get our bracelet. (You needed a bracelet to get your copy of the book.) I just couldn't resist the temptation to buy it, even though I had a copy reserved back home.

After what seemed to be an eternity (yet at points of the event, hours seemed like seconds) we obtained our copy of the book, and went back to the hotel.

As I stated earlier, it was an amazing experiance.

Though I only knew them for a few hours, the James, Remus, Sirus, and Pink-haired cosplayer are people I will never forget.
I deeply regret not getting pictures with them.

Seriously, it sounds crazy, and maybe even a tad creepy, but I really miss those people.
You'd think they'd died or something, because whenever I think of them, I almost cry. xD

BUT ANYWAY.

Awesome experiance, yes.

And Deathly Hallows is amazing, too. I've been reading it all day: in the hotel, the shuttle, the train, the convention... I love it to death. About 1/3 of it to go...
And by the way...

LUPIN'S INTERNAL STRUGGLE FTW!
I love difficult situations like that.
But really... poor Lupin. D:

Er, anyway, that's about it!
