Brittany's Journal of Meaningless Ramblings
This will mostly be random outbursts, my day-to-day ramblings/rants and the rare events that happen in my boring life.
Untitled Story: Chapter One
Michael kept his head bowed as he walked on the frozen ground. His dark gray jacket kept him warm enough as the morning wore on and he made the trip of walking to his school, Easton Highschool.

He'd long ago made the desicion to stop riding the bus. Less problems this way. And why get a car? Pay more money, pollute the environment and it would just get beat up anyways.

The boy's hair was an average brown and quite unkempt. He did brush it, but most wouldn't believe it. And the same with believing he got it cut. It was shoulder length and for the most part did nothing but get in the way.

Michael wore nothing but jeans, his ratty and worn Converse and t-shirts from the thrift store. And that same dark gray jacket.

Overall, he seemed like a normal person. An average Joe that would conform to the crowd and was just like everybody else. But what they knew of him was far too little.

They didn't notice him as he crossed the courtyard, snow dusted grass crunching underneath his sneakers. Their gazes never rested on him as he stumbled in the hallways on something like a paper or a leg purposely put in its position to trip him.

The human race disgusted him. They were so insulint. So vain. Ignorant to war, hatred, death. Unless you shoved it in their faces.

Michael's head jerked up as the first bell rang and he was forced to participate in the days 'fun' activities. His book for first period Calculus Two was worn and old. At the beginning of the year he was apalled at the state he recieved the book in. He couldn't believe they still used these books. From the photographs, you could tell it was at least fifteen years old.

And so began the day in the life of Michael Patterson. A boring one, really. He recieved news that there was two tests tomorrow and that mid-terms were approaching fast. Then by eavesdropping on a conversation he'd learned that Brian and Sarah [King and Queen of the Jocks and the Preps] had broken up. He felt no sympathy and only a tiny urge to study. There were more important things on his mind.
