-3 Weeks Later-
Amy casually walked down the cracked sidewalk. "The address is 113.." she thought. Gazing about, she searched for the 113th building.
"111... 112..." Her eyes stopped between 112 and 114. "Damn, where's 113?"
She jogged across the road to where 113 should have been, but saw nothing. Sighing, she pulled a slip of paper from the pocked of her tan fur-rimmed coat.
"Tonight at 8 meet me at address 113 on Bryan St. to celebrate your recover."
-Julio
"But there is no 113, Julio.." she paced back and fourth between 111 and 115. Realizing something, she backed to the alley between the two.
A dark door lay at the end of the alley, a rusted gtold plate above it with 113 embossed on its front.
A crooked smile crept onto her lips. "Found ya.." she muttered. Skipping over to the door she let her tail trail behind her.
When she reached the door, she felt the light rumble of loud music from inside.
"Oh, so its a club or something." finally, she opened the door. Descending down a damp stairway to the main floor.
-Once Inside-
The red lighting stained the room crimson. Loud dance music shook her insides and the large crowd swayed to the beat.
Amy's grin widened as she saw Julio sitting at the bar. She twitched her tail happily as she made her way to the bar.
Pushing past one last dancer, she stood behind him. "Surprise surprise." Amy said.
Julio turned to her on the spilling bar stool. "So you made it."
"Of course I did. And you sure picked one hell of a spot to meed." Amy ranted. "It took me forever to find the damn thing." she leaned on the counter next to him.
"Use that nose of yours, that would have been smart." he joked.
"Yeah, yeah.." she hopped up to the seat beside Julio, examining his outfit.
He wore a blue and yellow spotrs jacked with green cargo pants. The ususal black beanie on his head.
"What?" he shot a look at her.
"Nice outfit?" she made a strange face at him. "I'm looking at your clothes, that isn't so bad is it?"
"Rawr, don't give me an attitude." he slapped a ten dollar bill on the sticky counter. "I'd like two tall beers."
A tall bald man behind the counter grunted as he reached for two glasses for Julio's order.
"Julio, that is not an attitude. But if you want one I'll sure give it to ya." her brow furrowed slightly.
"No, I"m good." Julio looked away as he adjusted his feed on the stool.
Amy jumped as the bar tender slammed the two glasses of foamy beer on the counter between them. Then peeled the ten dollar bill from the counter.
Julio reached for the two glasses the same time as Amy, bumping hands with her.
He pulled back and let her choose first.
She giggled. "Shy, are we?" she took the glass closest to her.
"Ppft, no!" her grabbed the second glass, taking a few sips.
A few wordless moments came to them. The music seemed to keep growing louder.
"Oh.." Julio broke the silence.
Amy sipped at her drink as she looked up to him silently.
"Here's a toast.. To you.. Uh.. Recovery." he held his glass out to her.
Amy smiled, bumping her glass with his. "Cheers."
"Cheers." Julio repeated.
-Later-
Amy stumbled down the sidewalk in a fit of laughter. Julio walked beside her, a bit red in the face.
"C'mon lets go by th' river." Amy mumbled, speech slurred. She dragged him by the sleeve across the road towards the river.
"Amy, we should go home. You've drank to much." he tried to convince her.
"Just for a minute." she released his sleeve as she ran down the hill. Falling to her face at the bottom.
Julio slid a hand over his face and sighed as he followed her.
At the bottom of the hill, Amy sat up and laughed. Looking up, she saw Julio who now stood behind her.
"Hey.." she smiled up at him.
"Come on, lets get going.. Its late."
"No, sit by me." amy pulled his sleeve, forcing him down to the grass.
"Fine, fine.. I'm sitting." he sighed again as he adjusted his beanie.
Amy looked to Julio then with a look she had never given him before. "You know.." she paused, reaching a hand out to rest it on his. "You have the most beautiful eyes.." she looked at him so seriously.
Julio raised his brow. ".. Are you ok?" he blushed as he felt her hand.
"Of cource.." she proceeded to hold his hand. "You have eyes to beautiful for a human boy." Amy reached up and pulled the black beanie from Julio's head. Revealing a pair of pointy orange ears.
He bit his lip. "Uh.." he hesitated. "I can explain--"
"Explain what?.. How you lied to me?!" Amy was furious. "I thought I could truse you!"
Julio stared at her scared, not quite sure of what to say.
"Do you have a tail too? Its only natural." the anger in her expression scared Julio into a standing position.
Amy glared at him for a moment before turning away. "Go on.. Show me your tail."
"O-ok.." Julio jumped a little. Reaching down the back of his left pant leg, he pulled out a long orange tail. The fur on his was quite a bit longer than on Amy's.
He sat back beside her hesitantly. "Fine, my tail's out." he blushed a little.
Amy turned back to him smiling. "See, the truth isn't that ugly." she reached back and stroked his tail.
Julio stiffened as a cold shiver ran up his spine. Drawing in a quick breath as he bit his lip, his ears stood erect.
Amy's tail twitched playfully. "There we go, now I finally found the real you." she mumbled.
Grabbing the neck of his jacked, she pulled him into a passionate, but gentle kiss.
