A sunny day today. The park was filled with happy little children riding their small new tricycles, a whole, neverending excitement in front of them.I was watching them from the tree. They made me remember that one day. I was just like them. Curious about the world. Daring to enter the dark depths of the school of elementals. Walking home with Blade every day. I missed him. It was like a great chunk of my life was taken away. He was my best friend, and I his. That stupid vampire had to ruin it all. I really regretted being a vampire, sometimes being turned over by friends, and especially getting into fights with Taroia. The b*****d!
One day, I'll just shove it into his face that one day, I will not hesitate to use my inner vampire.
The off worlder managed to disappear with the blanket, leaving me a note on the branch, reading, "I have never met such a worthy opponent. If fate have it, we shall be partners." I looked at it every few minutes, chuckling under my breath.
Night. Everything still, prefect for me to get out. I jumped out of the tree just to remember one very vital fact : the vampire was still in my room. I quickly jumped from tree to building, cursing under my breath. A few minutes later, I managed to enter my "little" house.
When I entered. She was awake, looking around the whole place. She noticed that her shoulder was all bandaged up, but stayed in the bed. I walked up to her, wanting to touch her neck, but I was stopped by an uncalm hand, shivering from the cold.
"...So you're finally awake."
"Who are you?"
"I found you laying down. I thought that maybe I should help you."
"You're a vampire slayer! Why didn't you kill me !?"
"Listen, there's a ring to it. You were being chased by my rival, but you managed to escape. I couldn't leave you there, cause then he would catch up. Oh yeah. And just so you know, I'm also a vampire."
For some odd reason it silenced her. I then knew that I had told her too much, and had no choice but to kill her in my special "slayer room". It was tainted by the smell of vampires killed in it. I disliked the smell, but I disliked being yelled by the boss even more.
"here, let me take you to a room."
"Huh?"
"You heard. just don't worry. I want you to stand in the middle of the room and close your eyes."
I took her to the room and had her stand in the middle. It was dark inside, so she wouldnt see the bodies of other "poor" victims.
"Now, think some happy thoughts," I whispered as I took out a gun and aimed.
Bam! I shot at her, but she quickly dodged and began running around the room. Bam! I missed again. It went on for a couple more minutes until she yelled, "STOP!"
Her yell shook me, as it made me remember a girl I had a crush on at the school of elementals. She was definitely not her, but, well, she got attacked and killed by a vampire.
"Please don't shoot me. I can help you."
"Oh? And how?"
"I can help you with your 'rival', do some 'stuff' for you, just please."
She was speaking with a mind of great intellect, so smart that it would be shameful to be rid of her. So I did something a vampire slayer had never done before.
I stopped shooting, put the pistol away, walked up to her and said, "Farewell. Any enemy of my enemy shall be a friend...for now."
And so began my relationship as a 'friend' with the vampire. I'll get killed if they find out, but risks have to be taken. For all I know, she could be the thing i've been looking for.
