Okay........ Well for those of you who know me youve probably heard me talk about my dad and well who he was ((if I havent dont ask cause I dont like to talk about it))................... oh well heres a poem kind of about him....
You have always said you love me,
You have always said you were there for me,
You have always said you love mom,
So why......
Why did you do all those things,
So why......
Why did you get drunk and lay your hands on mom,
Why did you make mom cry,
Why when mom said, "If you keep walking away, you can never come back," did you keep walking,
Why did you do those things when you said you loved us,
So why......
Why did you keep drinking after you promised youd stop,
Why did you make me feel scared when you started yelling,
Why did you throw bottles at nana,
Why did you threaten to kill or hurt someone when they told you to stop yelling or to calm down,
Why did you do that,
So why......
Why did you start arguments and fights,
Why did you put your hands on people infront of me,
Why did you make me cry afraid it would be me next,
Why did you make me afraid to be around you,
Why did you make me feel helpless,
You ruined a perfect Christmas,
You hurt Nana and Tia,
You hurt us all on the inside,
You picked me up and wouldnt put me down when the cops came to the door to arrest you,
You wouldnt let me go even though I wanted to get away,
You tried to resist being arrested,
You made me wish you werent my father,
I loved you and still do, but I'm afraid of you,
Afraid your going to hurt mom again,
Afraid you might hurt me,
I thought you loved us,
You never call or come around,
When you do you bring presents expecting to make it all beter,
You forget my birthday,
You dont call on Christmas,
You have our number,
Yet you get mad when we dont call you,
Even though you dont give us any way of contacting you,
Is that what a father is,
Someone who makes there child afraid of them,
Someone who lays hands on their wife,
Someone who makes broken promises,
Someone who lies,
Someone whoes never around,
Have you been lying when you say you love us?
