Went to Cedar Point last weekend with my mom, brother, and 2 of my mom's friends (they brought us in their RV, which was very nice). We left Thursday at about 12:30 pm and got there at 8 pm. My opinion of the RV ride was of content. We were driving for about 6 hours in the hot sun, and we stop in the states to buy groceries, since they won't let us bring beef or chicken across (Shoulda just brought the whole cow ).
It wasn't a very long wait at the border, since it was a Thursday. We got the air conditioning going after we crossed (since Carl had to stop the generator to hear the border people).
I was sitting at a booth table the whole ride, so about half way to Ohio I make a make-shift pillow out of a blanket that was on the chesterfield (couch), because I felt "jet lagged". The seat was only wide enough for my body, and my legs hung off the edge just past my knees, so I kept my feet touching the floor ('sept when there was a large bump in the rode). I almost fell asleep, but the bumps almost threw me under the table most times, so I curled up and listened to my iPod (which I was doing the whole ride anyways).
The ride was almost as fun as being in Cedar Point. I don't know why, but I really like to ride in cars and listen to music, since it gives me time to think and day dream, while the RV was large enough to keep my brother away from me.
Okay, so the next day was Friday, and I don't know why they let people from the campsites in an hour before other people, since they don't start testing rides untill 9 am anyways (when campers are let in), and don't stop untill 10 am, when people get in. So we wait in line for a hour? Oh fun
So my mom and me waited in line for the Top Thrill Dragster Coaster, and it wasn't going to be working (******** magnets). So, they tell us 45 minutes later that it will need repair. So I said screw it. I didn't want to go on it at all after that.
We went on rides 'till 3:00 pm, I split up from my mother and brother and left the park with Angie and Carl (owners of the RV). So, we had to get stamped as we went out with this invisible ink (glowed under blue lights). So the guy stamping stamped my wrist very lightly (not like he did Carl and Angie), and asked me how I was. It surprised me, since he hadn't asked anyone else, so I answered with a quiet "good". Then he asked Angie (who was behind me), if she were my mom XD
He was so hitting on me, which is funny since I'm 16, but I look older. He was from like... I don't know, on the other side of the world, since people from all over the place work there over the season and then go back overseas. My mom would have killed him.
So, we go get lunch and wait for my mother and brother to come back and left for the water park at 3pm (only me, mom,and bro, Angie and Carol would meet up with us in the wave pool at about 5). We went to the slides first, then the lazy river, then more slide (mom and me while brother still in lazy river), then to the overcrowded wave pool.
People on tubes in a wave pool = death.
My brother was on his stomack and smashed someone in the face with his shins when he was on a tube (accident).
So we went back to the RV for supper and let at about 8 to go back to the park. My brother didn't want to go back. So me and mom went on 3 roller coasters, and Angie and Carl did something else (since they don't really do coasters, in the case of Carl, he doesn't do big ones, but Angie doesn't do any). By 9:30 we met up with them, and we were going to watch the lazzer show, but we saw a lightnight storm coming, so we headed back.
Before we got very close to the back exit (near the entrance to the water park) it was getting really windy, and started to rain pretty hard, so Carl ran to close the thing that comes out on the RV to shade people from the sun, since it had ripped off in high winds before. So when we go to the exit, there was a build up of people at where they stamp you (you wouldn't need a stamp anymore, closes at 10 pm). Kids crying, people trying to get kid buggies out. Crazy. The American's thought there was going to be a tornado
By that time it was pelting in fast sheets, just enough to hurt a little. People had lost their kids. The three of us (mom, Angie, and me) started running. I lasted the longest, almost ran all the way to the RV. There were 3 rodes to the RV and I didn't know which one it was, so I found out I had to look for the car at the back of our RV. By that time I was walking in bare feet on the cement in large puddles because the soles of my flip-flops were slippery. I found the car, and thus the RV.
People lost their kids in the rain. There was a kid huddled in the bathroom (told by my mom and Angie, since they stopped at the bathroom before they can to the RV).
That was fun, even though we got soaked (which was in itself fun to run in the rain.) And the thing didn't get ripped off the RV.
My brother tried to mock me sine he didn't go and get stuck in the rain. Didn't work, since it was fun.
Through the night it rained again and it scared me, since it was windy again and the RV rocked very easily, but I was to tired to get too worried about the thing that could get ripped off the RV and fell asleep pretty quickly.
The second day we didn't get in the park 'till 11 am. Me and my mom split from Angie, Carl, and brother, since those 3 don't like the roller coasters I do. So, we went on Gemini, Mean Streak (didn't want o wait for 1 and a half hours for Maveric), and Millennium Force (minus my mom on that one).
God, Millennium Force was good. The seats were great, kept you in there real good. My mom almost got on it, but when my mom was all in there and done up, they kicked us off 'cause someone pucked. Then my mom didn't go on, and I decided I would share a car with a little girl that was by her self. Damn, the first drop in great, left my hands up the whole time and didn't pull myself don't to my seat when I was lifted off it. I wanted to feel the G's so bad! *purr*
So, me and my mom went to the RV at 2:30 and ate lunch, we started to see the storm clouds coming. It had been a cloud covered day. We left a note for the other three when we went to the water park, since they hadn't got back yet.
It was a perfect day for the water park. It was only spitting so they didn't kick us out of the water, but the coasters had to shut down (I was sitting in the wave pool right when they tested Top Dragster, and it didn't get all the way around, I laughed). Me and mom spent most of our time in the lazy river and wave pool. The wave pool was great that day, a lot less people, so I could actually ride all the way to shore in a tube, and then get back and go again without hitting anyone (well, not really). The first day there had to be 120 or so people in it. On this day I'd say less than... 60 people.
We left there at about 6 to get supper, and the three were there, they hadn't wanted to go to the water park and stayed 'till we came back.
We had supper and Me, mom, and bro went to do stuff. We left bro to go on Gemini, 'cause he's suck a sissy and wouldn't go on it, because it "hurt". Bull. I suspect that Gemini was a wooden coaster before it's tracks were replaced by metal, and it was a fun ride. Both times that day the train I was in didn't win lol
So anyways, we went to the main arcade after that. I played DDR once in there, it was a pretty good machine, considering a lot of machine I've been on suck. I had a hard time with flimsy American bills in the quarter machines, but I eventually spent and converted $20 (in bills) to quarters.
I pretty much played the same game the whole time ('sept to play DDR and bowling), and the game I played was the Truck game with the swinging arm, and it would collect coins in the trucks, and if you got this flag just right, it would dump them and give you lots of tickets. There were 2 machines side by side that were this game, but one gave out more tickets if you hit the truck, I played that on, it was on the right.
I got about 700 tickets, and my brother got about 1300, we both got jackpots on something (we're pretty good at that, or lie when the machine doesn't give out tickets that you got something worth 200, when you really got something worth 5 )
Anyways, we got 5 Tiki-like guys combing our tickets that were 650 points each (bro won one earlier, and we got the last 3 when we were there that night).
After that I got some shirts with Cedar Point stuff on it, and were going to watch the lazzer show, buy me and bro were too tired.
Next day was Sunday, and we left at about 8 am in the morning. Since I had my iPods dock with me, I was able to charge it so I had it with me on the ride home.
We stopped at the Gibralter trade center more for a pee break that anything else, but my brother spotted a really nice air soft gun shop (the one he had his eye on had a built in lazzer pointer), but Canadian boarder police wouldn't like that much if they saw it, so he wasn't allowed.
Saw the dogs there. I wanted to save them. I hate seeing dogs like that (stacked in small wire cages on top of each other).
We left and went to a mall. I bough Loveless vl. 5 & 6, and also found the DVD "28 days Later" that I was looking for forever! They were dirt cheap, thank you lack of much Ohio state tax. Also bought "World War Z" at another book store across the road. My mom got some spoons and stuff, and a Dyson animal vacum (man that thing is powerful, can rip up cords, but I haven't yet witnessed this myself).
So, we crossed the boarder after that, didn't take long, about a half hour wait, and Carol almost lost my mom's Birth Card thing (it fell on the floor).
Did you know a person can only buy $400 worth of stuff in America, or buy so much bear to bring over, that you can get taxed on the way back? I didn't lol
We stopped at the Flying Jays to get Angie's dog from someone that was taking care of it, and then we got home around 8pm.
I had a really good time... but I think I'll need a coaster buddy next time, since my mom is starting not to like them. I can ride any ride, coasters, vertical drops like Drop Zone, spinning, anything, and I want to, so I need someone that can also (mom also doesn't like ever a little bit spiny, well, it was little to me anyways).
Who wants to be my coaster buddy? xD
