All buildings in New York City are required to recycle due to the law established in 1989(Goldstein, 2003). With a city this large, it makes sense to recycle because the more natural recourses we waste, the more the Earth’s ecosystem is affected. Recycling is important because it benefits the environment especially when global warming is occurring.
New York City has the biggest recycling program and is the only city that offers the public.
