Edited version of this poem i wrote a while back:

If i told you i once loved you, would you run away?
If i said i'm going to die, would you want me to die another day?
If i were to leave you, would you visit me in may?
If i got a sailboat, would we ride across the bay?
If we went out to dinner, would you pay?
If we became rivals, would you like it that way?
We are best friends, you and I, buddies, pals, guys and gals
but if....
If i told you i loved you, what would you say?
