What's this? I actually remembered to write a part two?! This is a momentous occasion, my friends!
Anywho.
After I left my home (see part 1) I decided to visit my old stomping grounds in Emerald City. Well, as soon as I entered the city, I was accosted by an overly friendly Lion, who I had to kick several times before finally managing to call a carriage to drive me up to my old university. It goes by the name of Shiz. Perhaps you've heard of it? Some pretty famous people have gone there, but...I don't know. I had done a few of my prerequisites at Hogwarts, but after a few minutes the accents started getting to me.
Shiz isn't in Emerald City, and I fell asleep on the carriage with a Gillikinese woman staring at my American attire (which would look pretty strange in Oz) and a Goat and a Rabbit having an intense conversation, occasionally looking my way.
So, the first person I ran into at Shiz was ancient Doctor Derrible, the Headmaster who took over after Madame Morrible died (horrible old biddy). As you can imagine, I don't have very fond memories of him. After a boring lecture about me having nothing better to do and how I was useless and wouldn't accomplish anything, he bid me good day. I then went to one of my favorite spots, Suicide Canal. Despite the name, it's a lovely place. If you're ever in Oz, make sure to check it out. But unless you live in tornado alley or have a house that likes to fly in very stormy weather...or you live in Kansas, I doubt very much you'll make it. I'm sorry. So, I traveled back to Emerald City, and I heard about an interesting story of a Witch who had gone to Shiz. Her name was Elphaba, and apparently, she had gotten into some trouble with Morrible and had become the Wicked Witch of the West. Poor girl. From what Galinda the Good Witch of the North told me, she was a lovely person. So, I decided to go and meet this Wicked Witch.
That's all the time I have today, my duckies, but I know you just can't wait for the next installment, when I run into some "urban folk."
Toodle-oo!
